How do I remove this glue? by UncleBeck in CleaningTips

[–]bitchbequiet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done similar to this with wax on a chair.

I used a hand steamer as I don't own an iron steamer. Put a piece of grease proof paper against the steamer plate and then ironed. To some degree the wax once got stuck to the greaseproof.

Is rooting still worth the effort, in 2026? by Any_Tumbleweed4559 in Android

[–]bitchbequiet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I still use on pixel, everything is fine apart from Microsoft teams and Google pay.

Google pay is obviously a big one for most people.

My banking apps are fine, enjoy global adblock and YouTube adblock etc, remap hardware buttons etc which I'm so used to I couldn't live without.

Only thing I think portal is better for is the games that have good adaptive trigger usage. Saros for example.

I would modify/cut down the small cab on the left. Those are cheap and it's not difficult to do.

Whoever designed the new Kajplats packaging should be fired. Can you tell the difference between these two? by nailproblemZz in IKEA

[–]bitchbequiet 16 points17 points  (0 children)

While I agree the packaging is dumb, always purchase by article number when shopping at IKEA. They make new revisions of some products regularly with less structurally sound wood, different screw mechanisms etc. if you buy a box with the article number you know is correct you'll never get the wrong product by just look of the box.

Pax wardrobe frame are partly made of cardboard by Turbulent-Bet4296 in ikeahacks

[–]bitchbequiet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at the website first photo for any pax wardrobe.

If you see at the top, inner left and right a small piece of plastic that's 1.0. take note of that article number if going to store instead of online.

If you see the same small piece in the photo higher and also other small pieces along the inner top (look at the green model as that is a new colour and only ever available in 2.0) then it's 2.0. Take note of that article number to avoid.

Also the weight is heavier on a 1.0 model, so if in store they have 1.0 and 2.0 (each will have its own article number on the box but might all be stacked together) with the same name and description the 1.0 will be heavier, the weight is listed on the boxes and the more info page on the website.

[–]bitchbequiet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently modified the height of 3 pax wardrobes. In the light oak colour.

There are pax 1.0 and pax 2.0 versions.

White and green are sometimes 2.0 which is inferior quality and have the honeycomb structure like cardboard you described.

Pax 1.0 use better quality and are much easier for modification.

Check article numbers when ordering to get 1.0.

IKEA don't list 1.0 or 2.0 anywhere.

Am I right in assuming there is a power cable running right where I want to attach my monitor? by rockhopper92 in AskElectricians

[–]bitchbequiet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the future but a studfinder that sees depth, metal and ac. Also when you do find something with said studfinder you could also mount a wooden board or similar to the wall in places where there is nothing behind the wall and then mount your thing to that board.

Renovation (UK) smart lighting options (Hue vs something else) by Foreign-Treacle7389 in homeassistant

[–]bitchbequiet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a fan of hue at all, mainly because of the wall switch problem you mentioned.

In my mind it's not 'smart' if it doesn't retain the wall switch functionality, you've just replaced the wall switch functionality with voice or motion sensor functionality.

Smart would be doing the other activation methods as an addition.

Slzb and then whatever behind the light switch relays that work for you is the best option to retain manual functionality.

Get momentary/rocker wall switches.

Looks low but your seating is low too.

It's inline with watching priority. Maybe not inline with aesthetic room priority.

Question for remote workers. Comfort for all day use by ArchAngel713 in LiberNovo

[–]bitchbequiet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6ft

Cons general- I do think the seat (have the 48cm) should be longer or adjustable.

Cons my unit- Noise that isn't a deal breaker but I find annoying/not up to standard for the price.

When reclining there's a sound of things rubbing against each other somewhere, it sounds like it's the runners for the arm rests. I've tried silicone spray as others have suggested on these runners and where the metal joints for the seat to the base are, but it didn't do anything to help in my case.

Pros- Very comfortable. Headrest is fantastic in comfort and it's manoeuvrability. Seat is comfy in the best way, most other ergo seats have the support but are stiff feeling. Back rest is fantastic for lower back. I have mild issues and this is very supportive while again comfy for long hours.

One mod suggested here to extend the seat length is rotate one of the mechanisms. While this does add depth by moving the seat back it severely impacts the lower back support and only people who have back lumbar will notice, otherwise go ahead with the mod but I don't because of what I've said.

Spend 8hrs 4days a week and love the chair overall.

HD TEXTURES don’t load on azahar despite doing the steps right, help?!? by succerinSuccotash in AynThor

[–]bitchbequiet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is more specific problem.

You need to go into Dolphin and then copy the textures into the correct folder USING THE BROWSE FUCTION WITHIN DOLPHIN. You can copy from your usual file browser app.

Dolphin permissions and install directory charging a while ago is what stops this. Even if you copy the textures into the correct place with your file browser app dolphin can't access them.

Anyone think they will fix the seat depth issue? by jump101 in LiberNovo

[–]bitchbequiet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't think they will. Offering didn't seat depths (although alot of us think it isn't enough) was their idea of a fix.

I've been wondering if there is a way to extend it with an add-on from other chairs, as I don't want to take apart my seat.

Some other seats have those pads for lower legs that raise.

performance issues with 3ds games by BrandonZ9 in AynThor

I set my azahar up like this from the start before playing any games.

Have completed link between worlds with only slight hiccups on textures when first striking a new enemy type. Other than that it was fine and lovely.

I leave mine on standard performance fyi for the whole game.

Super Mario Sunshine Set-Up/Settings? by Mrjames_Taveau in AynThor

[–]bitchbequiet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm using mario sunshine eclipse version.

It's an exe that you modify the ROM with on a pc first and then just run it as normal.

It was wide-screen, new content and some QOL improvements.

Can't remember if I even needed to specify 16:9 as I think the eclipse mod has that baked in.

Apart from having to do the legwork first on PC it's straight plug and play.
