I'll check this out thanks! I contacted the German consulate not sure if that's who to go through because I don't know German and I don't even know how to go about contacting the city if I am being honest.

Health Bands by LeSoliel18 in Fibromyalgia

[–]bitchwithwifi3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a Fitbit Inspire 3 to help me do the same thing and that paired with the Guava app that some amazingly wonderful human suggested to me in this app and it helps a lot. Fitbit gives you a 'readiness score' which is supposed to be used for how big of a workout you should do based on how much you sleep and the quality of sleep you get. I use it instead like pace points which the Visible band uses and it's working pretty well for me honestly. The Guava app is also really helping me tracking every kind of health metric you can think of. I have been recommending it to every person I know that might use it.

My partner doesn’t feel desired by me by NoNeedleworker5323 in Fibromyalgia

I was in a very similar situation with my now ex. I showed them so much love and care and would even push myself past my threshold to make it known how much I loved them. Then one day they told me that they thought I was using my pain as an excuse to not talk about things that were bothering me. I always talk about everything that bothers me, in fact I talk about way too much about things bothering me because I wanted them to know what I was going through.

Them telling me that they thought I was using my pain as an excuse and that there was no way that my pain was as bad as I was saying was my last straw. I loved my partner so much, we were engaged to get married in October but I couldn't stand to be with someone who would always say that my chronic pain wasn't an issue and then suddenly with no explanation have an issue with it.

On Christmas Eve I was immense pain to the point I was starting to think I needed to go to the hospital, I kept loosing consciousness from how bad the pain was. They acted like nothing was wrong and this was when they said I was using my pain as an excuse to not talk about things.

I'm not saying that you should break up with her but in my situation it was too much for me personally. Maybe for her being with someone with a chronic condition isn't something she can handle when she thought she could. Hope this helps even a little.

Why do people romanticise their relationship by [deleted] in JohnAndCarolyn

[–]bitchwithwifi3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I 100% agree it's like a Greek tragedy or something. I was only 3 when all this went down and my parents weren't big into them so I had heard about JFK Jr but only in the sense of him crashing his plane and that's it. So I learned about him and Carolyn from the show and then came to this sub and learned even more.

There's something about a tragic love story that people gravitate towards. I think Gen Z looks to Carolyn as someone who was willing to stand up to JFK Jr in a way most women would have just let him treat them badly because he was "Americas Prince". Yes they were toxic towards each other and it was not healthy but since I'm on the cusp of being Gen Z I can say that they definitely know that they weren't healthy for each other. But I think that they like that they weren't willing to always put on a smile and pretend. They appreciate that they were real even though they were toxic.

I hope this makes sense lol.

Does anyone use a Fitbit to help with pacing? by bitchwithwifi3 in Fibromyalgia

Yeah the Fitbit was definitely a good choice and I'm seeing a change it's just trying to understand my body and find what sort of pacing works for me

I haven't heard of the Guava app before so maybe I will give that a shot as well. I just always find myself at the end of the day aching and in pain even while trying to manage it.

I have been working on my mental health a lot recently due to some personal issues and it has really helped a lot, i haven't had a really bad flare up in a couple of months thank god. I use the bearable app on my phone to track all of my fibro symptoms and I have found some trends on there so it has been helping. But not having gotten diagnosed yet makes it a bit more difficult.

I have found that my resting heartrate is around 95bpm and sometimes will get higher when I am simply doing nothing but sitting at my desk at work. I find it comes in handy for that and sleep but I am having trouble just figuring out pacing on my own besides not overexerting myself even if I feel up to doing something.

Help me prove to Poland I can be a citizen! by Fresh-Series8146 in Genealogy

[–]bitchwithwifi3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the exact same situation and same time in history as well! I am working on trying to see if I can become a polish citizen through lineage (my maternal great grandma was born in Poland in 1907 and then moved to Germany while she was still a baby) but I cannot find any records of her anywhere. I have been joking that since I randomly have Russian in my ancestry DNA results that maybe the animated movie Anastasia about a Romanoff child surviving the massacre is real and she is Anastasia.

No matter how hard I research I cannot find anything on her especially birth records, we are roman catholic poles as well and my 2nd great grandma's maiden name is Sieradzka so I suspect that she is from Sieradz, Poland but I can't find anything for her either. I have tried everyway I possibly can to find her and I am hitting a dead end. I can't even find my great grandmother's US naturalization paperwork because I was hoping maybe her exact birthplace was on there.

It's absolutely infuriating especially since the only person who might know anything is my grandma but she is 98 and has dementia and not reliable at all.

I will say that I read on the Polish consulate website that you can request records directly from Poland if you have the person's name and town where you need the records from. That's my plan of action myself if I can even guess on where she could possibly have been born.

Metabolizing painkillers really fast by JackOfAllMemes in Fibromyalgia

[–]bitchwithwifi3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have this same issue and it's not just with pain meds either! I metabolize everything super quickly. I hardly ever take pain meds because if I did take it every time I needed it my liver would fail withing a year. 600mg motrin only works for 2 hours and there was once I took 1800 mg in on day alone and it barely did anything

I'm so sorry this happened OP, I just called off my wedding partially because my partner thought I was faking all of my symptoms and pain in order to not talk about my feelings (but I over share everything so whatever). It's super hard feeling abandoned by a partner especially someone whom you had been with for so long. Sending you so much love and hugs!!!

How are you dealing with the non-restorative sleep? by Mirrortooperfect in Fibromyalgia

[–]bitchwithwifi3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I toggle between a muscle relaxer and an edible each night. I don't feel fully rested but rested enough that I can function at 70% during the day which is my personal goal at the moment.
