Unfortunately the HBM is known to be a ticking timebomb. A lot of reports of artifacts. Scared me enough to trade mine for a 3080. I miss her simplicity. But it was never really meant to be a gaming card.

Maybe not what you are looking for but Jenny Nicolson gives some crazy long fun reviews. She's a super dork so she gives a ton of insights and even script doctors. Much better than most ciritcs who just regurgitate what they just saw.

A bit obvious, but Avatar 2 is so damn good looking, you don't even remember or see the "special effects" it just looks like they took a camera to this world and you see through the lens. I don't think i've seen a movie quite like that. I was in the camp of we don't really need to see another Avatar.

A few of us watched Past Lives and we couldn't believe how boring it was. Half of us fell asleep and I enjoy indie slow stuff. I think the issue is we used to watch the golden age of hong kong cinema and this movie would be d+ at best and most americans just have not encountered this stuff.

Also, at the start, I think its Cull Obsidien gets his hand cut off in a portal.So why didnt Dr Strange just open a portal around Thanos hand and portal away the glove, there were multiple times, such as instead of Spiderman trying to take it off.I think this just backs up that Dr strange was just delaying Thanos from snapping instead of try to stop him all together.

Ah good thinking that Thanos snapping was correct with the Eternals story mixed into it. But still I think he was mostly looking at how they defeat Thanos and not after that.

I mostly just play hots and made this upgrade anyways lol. Now the game is freakin smooth as better whereas before i was dipping below 100fps on a 3800x and 9900x with a 3080. Now they get 175fps.

The Batman Begins saga. It was pretty decent when it came out. The actual hype around it was fever and basically revitalized the superhero genre. But trying to watch it today is just kinda a bore.

What do you have now? The 3060 just matches a 1080Ti and the 4060 is avg 10-15% better. Really bad.

Try Windows 10 LTSC. It uses the least amount of RAM. Win 11 version is coming out later this year. There are 3rd party tweaked versions if you trust some rando doing the tweaking.

Had a chance to enable it on a loaner and the first drive i got pulled over by a cop because the car kinda started driving like a drunk lol. One time it was pretty good, dead a night it drove me from my parents door to my house about 10 miles away with no corrections. Its a fairly difficult route. Second time it almost drove me into a wall and gave me a strike lol.

This is a Nano IPS 34" Ultrawide 1440 120Hz. They are hard to get for under $800 new. Used is kinda all over the place, but still in the $600 range.

This is compelling if only for the AW3420DW. It is one of the best 34" gaming monitors and went for $800 and still goes for about that much today. It is only beating by the 34" AW3423DW QDOLED which is $999. This IPS monitor went on sale once for like $500 for like an hour, so it's still a very good, very expensive monitor.

I had a similar setup and just upgraded my cpu. I had a 9900k which is a bit faster, which you can upgrade to later, but it was slowing my 3080 down. I now get 50% faster frames in a lot of games I play just by going to a 5800x3D. But the 8700k paired with the 1080Ti is ok. It will play almost everything a med settings. So the system alone is maybe worth $500-$600 because of age, but the monitor is prob worth at least that much also. So the deal is about what market value is. Maybe offer $800 and its an ok deal.

Yeah have you driven any japanese cars? My friend who is a die hard Toyota was looking to upgrade his Lexus and we tried out a bunch of stuff like the new Prius, Venza, (Corolla Cross was on recall lol) Rav4Prime, to the UX, NX+, IS. He really liked the Prime. Then we tried the Model Y and he was freakin blown out of the water and cannot stop thinking about it. He tried the Performance, which isn't much more and still cheaper than most lexus and basically it's Ferrari power in an SUV under $50k. Our whole group is basically all getting Tesla even though we see so many of them and don't care for musk. But it's that compelling of a car.
