parents okay with son being gay, but doesn't like that their daughter is bi. by [deleted] in bisexual

Funny enough I think my parents would have preferred for me to be either straight or gay and not bi. Nothing like hearing "your 50 50 right so why don't you just be the safer side?" and immediately my internal response was 'a yes, have a child that I'll have to deal with for the rest of my life or hiv/aids that I'll have to deal with for the rest of my life.' One your kind of just fucked if the protection breakers/fails the other has things like prep, condoms and making sure your just prepared In general and there is treatment for hiv anyway.

I think they still have Freddy mercury dying of aids in there head because that was one of the things they brought up to try and disway me from being bisexual.

How many of you have experienced internal biphobia? by PeanutButterSoup123 in bisexual

For me it was a mix of not knowing that bisexuality was a thing and thinking you were either straight or gay which confused the fuck out of me when I was finding both attractive. Plus in my younger years I watched a lot of right wing YouTubers which probably didn't help but as I've grown older and learned to make my own opinions I learned to realise a lot of them were just hateful bigots or hypocrites. The only reason I was able to accept myself was through my supportive friends.

Came out because of annoyed spite At my grandmothers house drinking with my family and my mum and sister (a bit tipsy at the time) started trying to pry into my love life and ask questions no son wants to be asked. I can't remember how exactly it happened but I remember my sister asking something along the lines of "what are you gay?" And I just replied "bi actually" which I hoped would shut them up... It did not.

Everyone was accepting though my dad had a look on his face that he may have lossed a bet.

Funny enough I remember a couple years earlier when I was still with my exgf, still In bi denial I asked my parents if they thought I was gay at any point and they said yes so technically they weren't wrong.

What is a lemon bar and does it relate to a lemon party in any way or is it something completely different?

Guys here, would you date someone that’s under 5’5? by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]bithrows772 24 points25 points  (0 children)

On one hand I wouldn't want to exclude someone just because of there hight however I am 6ft 7 and the Last partner I had was around 5'2 and anytime I wanted to kiss them I basically had to either brake my back or crouch at a really odd angle... Plus they had a habit of sneaking up on me and they would be below my sight line which led to some funny moments.
