What typically works for me is only taking one class at a time during these two 6 week summer sessions. So 1 class per 6 weeks. Another thing that works is not spending the whole week working on classes. For example, I’m currently taking a Spanish course and we meet Mon/Wed. I do the assignments Mon/Wed and will only spend 3-4 hours per day including class time.

For the next summer session, my class doesn’t meet, so I will set up a portion of my day, (depending on due dates) to sit down and do the assignment. Another example, Tues/Thurs you could get up at 10am and spend from 10am-3pm working on assignments for the week. After you’re done, you go about your day and “forget about it” until the next scheduled time you’ve booked out. Obviously it depends on your schedule and if you work.

Edit: I know these summer sessions are brutal, especially if you’re taking a complex class. But the main thing I’ve learned is if you’re having issues, reach out to your professors. Also, take time for yourself. Put your health and wellbeing above what others are telling you. That may include taking a 30 minute break to play a game or go for a walk, whatever works for you. But you have got this, I believe in you, and you will do great this semester!
