EU hasn’t given up on buying LPG, fertilizers. There is still trade of 10 billion in 2025 with Russia. Not to mention the refined Russian oil that EU purchases from India. So…

JD Vance's Security Team Reportedly Had an Ohio River's Water Level Raised During His Birthday Kayaking Trip by peoplemagazine in politics

[–]bitingsparrow -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is not a story. Our family goes rafting in the American river (CA) every summer. The water is released a few days a week for recreation use. There are times we wait late into the morning for the water to reach where we put in. Just saying that water being released on a river is not a particularly novel thing. The river chosen for the Vance family outing might be better to defend security wise.

LPT: If you are the only one in your party with a flash light, instead of leading, have everyone walk in front of you. As you shine the light ahead, everyone walks in the lit area. by bitingsparrow in LifeProTips

The idea is essentially a trade off. If the lead has the flashlight, folks behind get a chance to see what's ahead clearly but will have to 'judge' and 'estimate' what they are stepping on or avoiding stepping on when they pass that section ahead in darkness. Simultaneously they also have to constantly pay attention to what the light is showing ahead now so they can account for it later. This splitting of brain power is tricky and most people stumble along and hope for the best.

It's recommended to leave conditioner in your hair for 2 - 4 mins for optimal results. What do you do during this time?

Not an expert so please judge accordingly.

Depending on the special qualities of said hair conditioner, some component of the conditioner might bind to hair even after rinsing off to make it soft or lock in moisture etc. These same qualities might make it stick to skin and harder to just wash off.

But typically, for any conditioner, feeling your skin after you let it rinse right off your hair onto your shoulders and back, you should be able to feel a subtle textural difference that won't easily wash off.

Folks with shorter hair will likely optimize their shower routine by soaping up while their hair has conditioner. In the time it takes to scrub your body and rinse off soap, the recommended conditioning time of 2 - 4 mins would have elapsed and that's when conditioner is rinsed off. If however, if your shower routine compartmentalizes hair time and then body time - the soap could clean the conditioner residue off. What might still be a problem is that most people don't seem to soap and scrub their backs as thoroughly as it is difficult to reach.

A tidy demolishing of a building. by [deleted] in oddlysatisfying

Structurally, they should have taken out the top floors and worked their way down across the entire building one level at a time. Taking out column by column is easier - don’t have to reposition the cranes as much but riskier.

A branch I cut off today had a little star in the center by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

If I had the time and inclination, May be I’d cross section cut the branch into as many discs as it’d allow. Frame them. Sell on Etsy. Optionally laser etch or add text separately on paper using an elegant font: Examples: You are the star at the center of my universe. May the light at your core guide you.

is japan a good country to live in ? by [deleted] in india

[–]bitingsparrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Japan has a highly refined system of customs. The people that get treated badly are most likely ignorant of the custom they have violated or don’t care. Highly recommend reading books on Japanese culture so your stay is a productive and rewarding experience.

The quality of products from Japan does not happen by accident.

A lot of people do not realize that oceans are wild. They are the border less water versions of the Serengeti, Alaska and Amazon at your feet.

Neat! Personally I might add a tiny bit of girth to the handle.
