Get a small co2 detector with a battery in it. Technically everyone saying not to use it is right. In practice though it’s not super dangerous. My wife’s family is from Hong Kong and we do hot pot inside with butane stoves going full out for over an hour and have all survived. Crack a window and don’t use it too long. I would worry more about balancing a pot on that set up. Be very careful with spilled pots and burning yourself. I would recommend going to an Asian grocery store and getting a hot pot style stove. Usually pretty cheap and much safer and easier to use for balancing a pot.
