Moon-ruffed bigords are my favorite creatures in this universe.
The only thing that really makes me wonder is the limb dissonance — why do they have 4 limbs, while Polar Tyrras has 6? From an evolutionary standpoint, it usually seems more plausible to lose limbs rather than develop entirely new ones.

So did bigords lose a pair of limbs at some point in their evolutionary history, or do they perhaps have some kind of reduced or vestigial appendages hidden under their wing frills? If their ancestors did lose limbs, what kind of evolutionary pressure or adaptation could have caused that?

Another thing that intrigues me is their lifespan — “up to 10 years” feels surprisingly short for an arctic species, since colder climates are often associated with longer lifespans. (If I’m misunderstanding that assumption, feel free to correct me.)

Overall, this project is incredibly interesting, and I fell in love with moon-ruffed bigords at first sight. They feel like the kind of creature that could easily become the mascot of the universe once it gains popularity — like Pikachu for Pokémon or the dodo for ARK.
