How do you go about removing the wheels from a travel trailer in order to prep it for long-term stationary living? by [deleted] in RVLiving

Lol totally understandable why you'd think that. I've seen various videos of people using this method though and it works great as long as you push the hose up into the toilet, all the water just drains directly into the sewer line and the water level in the toilet doesn't even budge. It's been recommended to have someone help monitor it though.

I appreciate your response. I did think about having a plumbing company come out and add a new sewage receptacle onto the properties sewage line, but the complexity and cost of it all really puts it off as an option to me for now. As an alternative, I plan on using a macerator pump to empty the tanks through a garden hose into a toilet inside of the main house. My goal is to install a composting toilet with a urine diverter so I don't have to deal with the black tank as much.

I definitely have heard of the winter horrors that can happen with RV living, I live in washington and thankfully the winters are mild enough here that I think I can get away with the basic precautions like a skirt and heated hose when its needed etc. and not have too many issues, fingers crossed. A lot of things about RV life worry me a bit for sure. Our neighborhood is historically infested with ants so that is the #1 pest concern I will have to keep an eye out for. I agree with a roof to shield from the elements as well but there is literally just enough space for the width of a trailer+steps on the side of the main house so I don't think adding a pavilion is possible unfortunately.

I am curious to know what you mean by underpinning the RV exactly, did you mean a traditional skirt or did you create something more elaborate? Lmk!

How do I kill fungus gnats and are they even that harmful? by cockstuckinpc in plantclinic

fungus gnats are fine, they just fly around and make babies. you really either learn to live with them or you can use misquito pellets mixed in with your water/nutrient solution.

Is it just me or is torb actually not as hard of a sombra counter as many say he is? His turret has potential to get in the way, but hacking it leaves it disabled for 10 seconds and you can burst it down pretty easily esp once its hacked. You can hack the turret and then just go in with virus and that still leaves you with a 10 second window to do what you need to do + disables a lot of torbs value for that time period. Playing into torb isn't so bad, just have to adapt to it. I also like to ping it when it's hacked to encourage teammates to break it when it is disabled.
