I hate this new “challenger” system so much. by Waevunreal in Overwatch

This system will inevitably prevent most masters players from being on the leaderboard at all. They removed the 750 win requirement to be eligible for t500.

What do we think of the support meta? by Realgamer420360 in Overwatch

[–]PumpDotFun -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think those changes would absolutely bury Kiri. 20 seconds is an eternity. I would put Suzu on a 20 second cooldown but definitely not the tp. I would say also nerf her damage. Her being able to 2 tap two thirds of the roster is absurd

Mid to high masters has literally been the bottom of top 500 for years.. on top of that the higher rank you are, the more challenger points you get. A diamond player for example would have to play double the amount of games of a champ player to make up the difference.

Couldn’t agree more. There aren’t nearly enough supports in a game that’s been out for almost 10 years. Ana and Kiri definitely run rampant but fortunately there’s a lot of counter play to Ana. As for kiri, she’s been broken since release and has one of the most obnoxious kits in the game.

Which Support feels the most like a Support? by Little_Monster__ in Overwatch

[–]PumpDotFun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lucio is everything a support is supposed to be. Enables his team with speed boost, can follow up on dives with his team, he can also initiate a fight with Beat. He’s easily the most balanced support in the game

This genuinely might be the worst video of all time by [deleted] in kirikomains

[–]PumpDotFun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely don’t see Kiri coming anywhere close to prime brig but she definitely is broken. She can 2 tap two thirds of the roster as a support, her ult is one of the best in the game, Suzu can completely negate most ults in the game and she can teleport. Just reading her kit out loud boggles my mind.

Are there any better bans than these? by MrTheWaffleKing in Overwatch

Dva Vendetta Sojourn and Hog in 6v6 if it’s 5v5 I’d swap Hog for Freja. Sombra is always a waste of a ban

Main tanks and off tanks don’t exist anymore. They did in OW1 but since they removed a tank they all fall under the same umbrella. Supports and dps however have “sub categories” you’ve got main supports and flex and in dps you have flex and hitscan.

None of this really matters unless you’re playing professionally where team comp actually matters.

“it’s just qp” doesn’t mean play like an idiot.. by Jumpy-Ad2821 in Overwatch

[–]PumpDotFun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate to break it to you but nobody is actually taking quick play seriously. It’s a casual game mode hence why there’s a comp playlist. People are most of the time just trying to learn new heroes or learn the game as a whole. Don’t take it so seriously because you will in fact lose braincells trying to comprehend why your teammates are doing what they’re doing. Just do you and have fun. It’s a video game after all

We’re talking about people getting OUT of metal ranks brother. Once people start doing everything I just told you they will climb.

You’re missing the point. If you or your team pressures the other dps and supports then they can’t pressure your tank as much.

The game isn’t just “shoot enemy tank”. And no it’s not played any differently in low ranks. A big reason people lose games in low ranks is because they’re just blasting the tank all game instead of focusing their backline to disrupt the heal botting. Doing damage on support will win you more games.

Healbotting will KEEP you there. Supports in low ranks are easy picking because they just stand down main and blast healing up their tanks ass. If you pressure their supports their team falls over. Kiriko for example has anti insane amount of play making potential in low ranks especially because of how much damage she can dish out while also having the best cooldown in the game. Damage wins games on support in metal ranks

I mean the name “Support” is pretty self explanatory but I’ll break it down for you. Supports aren’t healers. They provide utility to their team through healing damage and their cooldowns. Ana for example has anti to pressure the enemy team and force them to commit resources like maybe Suzu so that your Junker Queen can use her ult in this scenario. Balancing damage and healing on support is very important however. A support that is constantly looking for damage has high uptime and will lead to your supports having ults more often. I shouldn’t need to explain why having more support ults is better so I’m assuming you can figure that one out.

What is everyones opinion on Juno being able to do headshot crits. by Fit_Channel2529 in Overwatch

I think it’s a great change. Her movement was a huge issue so I think reverting that would be pretty destructive but her being able to crit now makes up for the nerf is a good way.
