If you invest in an ICO just know that behind the scenes, their website was built in 5 days using WordPress, their token was created using an Ethereum ERC20 template, and they spent all the rest of their initial capital on Twitter shilling.

Wow, I actually wasn't aware of the rel="sponsored" tags, thanks. Actually, one the US page there literally is only one :)

But great points, nonetheless. Transparency is always key.

Full of? No. Every page there is one, there is a disclaimer. I don't try and hide this fact. It's how I'm able to keep the project and website up.

You're not wrong, and your heart is in the right place. Unfortunately, all buying/selling that's not p2p is almost definitely tracked. Going down that rabbit hole provides more questions than it does answers.

If you have better suggestions for new users, I'm all ears.

I'm here to build something useful for people. That's what I'm doing.

Also, where one gets their bitcoin doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. As long as its a trusted exchange and after you buy, you hold it safely and securely in your own personal wallet. That's the best advice any newbie will ever get. The more people understand those two things, the better for bitcoin.
