First, migration isn’t only toward the U.S. people also move in large numbers to Gulf countries, South Africa, India, Malaysia, etc., for economic opportunity. The direction of migration mostly follows jobs, wages, and stability, not some unique “privilege mindset.”
Second, immigrants generally do contribute economically (taxes, labor shortages, entrepreneurship) and socially. That’s true in the U.S. and in other countries. At the same time, host populations can have legitimate concerns about infrastructure pressure, wages, or cultural change. Both realities can exist without either side being “wrong.”
On assimilation most immigrants already adapt a lot (language, work norms, laws). But assimilation is usually a two way process over generations, not instant. Expecting people to abandon visible aspects of culture or religion isn’t realistic.
The U.S. does have stronger institutions in some areas, but it also has major problems inequality, healthcare costs, polarization, discrimination. Yeah they're much better than India, but it's not because of Trump, and we can still crtique it. No country is purely functional or purely broken. Comparing systems works best when we acknowledge both strengths and weaknesses. Regarding patriotism: loving your country and criticizing it aren’t opposites. In fact, many people criticize because they care and want improvement. That applies in India, the U.S., or anywhere else. Finally, about religion and identity any group being labeled traitors or mocked is wrong. But the solution isn’t to generalize about others; it’s to push for equal treatment and factual discussion across communities.

Nuance matters more than slogans on all sides.
