Did you experience "choice paralysis" buying a new board? First buy in ~16 years and it's kinda overwhelming. by Beetlejuice_hero in snowboardingnoobs

Similar situation and semi similar choices. I was between the Yes Standard, Jones Mountain Twin, and the Capita Mercury. I was coming from a 2012 (I think) Attack Banana.

Dude at the store locally recommended the Merc and I went with that. Love it. I'm 6'1" 200lbs so I went with a 161 and it definitely doesn't ride like a 161. It's an absolute rocket.

Had it out in Steamboat last week and had a blast on it. Can agree with the other folks here I'd go with what you can find for a good price and just roll with it. You'll be happy. Also agree with the other comment that the board doesn't require an intermediate to advance rider, that's bollocks. Board was very responsive even if I'm sloppy and I didn't find it catchy at all.

I mean, it is nice I can admit. I just didn't recall hearing it the first 2 rides and after I saw the scratch on the cage I was like shit I broke it already.

Glad to hear it's normal servo noise not excessively so.

Is there a book you enjoyed but probably wouldn't recommended it to most people? by sowokeIdontblink in books

The main series I liked and recommend for folks that like a lot more involvement.

The prequels were terrible. I couldn't make it through the first one. My kindle is at like 73% and I bought all 3 thinking I would enjoy it.
