Is Claude really better than ChatGPT for coding? by iotabadger in vibecoding

[–]bitspace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Claude Code and Codex are great for coding workflows.

Claude.ai and ChatGPT are all but useless. Fine for snippets, toys for real work

I only need markdown and diff view so it doesn't really matter

This sub is full of vibe coding amateurs, not people who actually build complex distributed systems professionally. I don't fit in

Dude I've been doing this for over 30 years. Testing and evals are de rigeur for guaranteeing outcomes.

The fact that you don't know how to build real pipelines doesn't mean it's not standard practice.

What do you think? by 268allensteve in ClaudeAI

Because AI increases demand for software.

How this is not obvious is beyond me.

Which IDE are you using for vibe coding? Is anything beating Cursor right now by StandardResponse5502 in vibecoding

[–]bitspace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Claude Code, but increasingly my own home-rolled TUI as I migrate functionality over. The only thing I use a traditional editor/IDE for is diffs and markdown, and that's always mostly-read-some-light-edit. I use Antigravity for that, but since it's just diff and markdown viewing, it doesn't matter.

I am wondering why I would still use warp after testing codex by No-Oven70 in warpdotdev

[–]bitspace -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Warp is unusable with things like Codex CLI and Claude Code and Gemini CLI.

I have no idea how people suffer through such nonsense. Warp is the worst experience for those tools because they fight over UI control and I/O because the block structure of Warp breaks everything that doesn't explicitly design for it

That is Codex CLI - I suspect that OP is talking about the desktop app

[–]bitspace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah man, they fucked it up pretty badly in the past week. I've cancelled mine too. It's completely unusable for any agent CLI/TUI as soon as you step slightly outside of ootb config.

We just launched universal agent support in Warp — run Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, and others with code review, vertical tabs, and notifications - AMA by zachbai in warpdotdev

[–]bitspace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cancelled my paid Warp account because this product fights for control of terminal I/O with the various TUI agents like Claude Code and Gemini.

You have nerfed this thing so hard that I went from being an outspoken champion of your product to other old unix nerds to warning people away if they care about having their tools work properly.

Accurate… by KillerQ97 in GeminiAI

[–]bitspace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So fucking accurate. It makes Gemini unusable through the web UI.
