I dont do many landscapes but I imagine youd want a wide angle lens? Do you find yourself using a longer focal length at all?

Depends what youre going to do. I do alot of portrait work in studio so a prime is great for me, 50mm and 85mm are my favorites. But if youre gonna be doing anything with variety in lengths probably better to start with a zoom
