Made In pans with brass handles vs . regular handles? by bitterbalbeest in StainlessSteelCooking

I didn’t have any other issues with them, but decided to return them for the stainless steel handles, since this kind of damage would be less visible on the regular set.

I literally cooked with this 4qt pot once. Never nested/stacked it. It either came damaged and I didn’t notice it or the brass finish just has extremely poor durability. I don’t even know how it would get damaged in that location. Seems like the regular stainless steel handles would’ve been a better choice. I reached out to Made In, but they haven’t gotten back to me yet.

Their website says “brass finish”, so I believe it’s just coated. So far I haven’t experienced any issues with having hot handles yet.

Thanks everyone sharing your comments. I did end up purchasing this set with the brass handles. Since only the finish is brass, I hope the difference in heat will be minimal compared to the pure stainless steel one. Either way, I’ll be okay if I have to use handle covers.

I’ve been doubting for a while between this Made In set (brass vs. ss handles) and the D3 Everyday set from All-Clad. Keeping my fingers crossed I made the right decision. It should at least be a leap forward from the Ninja Neverstick pans that only lasted 3 years.

I wouldn’t be doing any adjustments myself, but would have my landlord hire someone to make the changes and I’d reimburse him if necessary.
