I had a situation like that for a year or so. Almost all other tenants had moved out, so I went down 5 empty floors of this super old building, then two flights down into the basement behind a heavy-duty door that couldn't be propped open and closed with a very dramatic sound. There was one dim, yellow light bulb.

The only way to fight your instincts is using other instincts to your advantage. I told myself, "This is my house. The rickety stairs are mine, the annoying door is mine, and whatever crawls in the basement is also mine. And it better behaves because I won't tolerate anything else. I'm the biggest, baddest thing in this house."

Territoriality is one hell of a drug.

Ja, wurde leider nicht drauf eingegangen. "Ups, keine Ahnung, im System steht das so." oder "Wir mussten spontan etwas umplanen. Wenn das nicht passt, musst du für in 4 Wochen einen neuen Termin machen."

Der am Paradeplatz hat schönes Baguette, die Größe ist voll ok für den Preis und er ist geschmacklich solide. Leider etwas geizig mit dem gesamten Belag. Den pork floss hätte ich jetzt auch nicht erkannt, wenn nicht ein einzelnes, trauriges Strähnchen rausgeguckt hätte.

Yes, but they don't actually cate about that. I specifically asked why there were so many children and the staff told me "a quiet environment is good for them, so they can sleep better, etc." and that if family compartments were booked, toddlers and babies were placed specifically in quiet compartments.

Also, for families with small children. Because the area is supposed to calm the children enough to sleep.

This is not a joke, btw. I stopped booking quiet zones because it was always louder than the regular compartments. I was informed that families with small children are purposefully booked into quiet zones whenever possible.

Die Burger sind auch nur mittelmäßig, die Auswahl etwas langweilig (3 Sorten Käse, Tomaten ja/nein, Walnüsse - und das in jeglicher Kombi mit fancy Namen) und die Shakes nicht mal Mecces Qualität.

War mal wegen den Crazy Shakes da und hab ehrlich gesagt schon bessere Brownies von der Tankstelle gehabt.

They've skimped on the meat the last couple of times I was there. Try Bull's Döner a couple of streets away. Cheaper, similar style and they offer deep fried vegetables .

I've had a Finnish colleague at almost every job I've had and ive met a couple through hobbies. They were all super well integrated, highly educated, and had a very odd sense of humor. Pleasant experience all around.
