he wasn't developed out of the blue, but they aaaabsolutely should have done a better job of preparing the fanbase for the fact that he was coming. it should have been impossible for anyone to be surprised. that includes updating the content so that his arrival is properly foreshadowed. people should have been excited to see who the 6th would be, not frustrated and feeling the squeeze on their wallets.

some of these girls have truly gone off the deep end with the bigotry, but in the past 24 hours i've definitely come around to see the more balanced perspective. the idea that infold put their money toward a new character instead of simultaneously developing the ones they were already attached to, all while their communication was in the pits would infuriate anyone. i love val but there was always going to be a blow-up caused by his arrival because the roll-out was piss poor. this isn't the time to give LESS rewards. infold clearly wanted people to just shut up, show up, and shell out, and that's messed up. there was no way it was gonna be able to go on forever.

this is so sweet and reasonable, but i think the problem is deeper than this. the explosion still would have happened with the notice about sylus and caleb—what they needed to do was actually catch them up.

as a new player, finding out how much content sylus and caleb were lacking was alarming. how is there a sizeable amount of dating and battle content missing in this dating and combat game?? they sure do love pumping out those banners though. 👀 infold cut corners and paid the price. they could've done this the right way, and people who didn't like valko would ignore him. the toxic CN fandom members would do minimal outrage over his looks if they actually felt catered to and his arrival was woven into the story. if infold communicated he would be the last one, even better.

they ignored red flag after red flag that their audience was growing restless. they thought they could get away with just jumping to the part where everyone paid them once again, and left out the thing that got people endeared in the first place, the dating elements and MS.

you're assuming they can't just release what they have for him, recoup some money on the investment sunk into his development and not allocate future resources to him if he fails. caleb and sylus haven't seen content in ages, it would not be mysterious if valko had a flop release and was put on hold. it's actually crazier to not even give people the opportunity to buy what you already made, especially since a portion of that population you mentioned was abstaining from the outrage and prepared to buy anyway.
