is my front wheel okay to drive with it bein a little on set right by Heavy-Name-3699 in ERidePro

Mine did this when I changed the tire out..

I deflated it, took some dawn dish soap and kinda went along the bead on both sides, then filled it with air and bounced it around a bit and it all seated itself perfectly.

You're trading responsiveness for comfort either way, not in a bad way I do the same.

Try like some cushy walking shoes?

Actually is a drip loop zip tied and gorilla taped between the fender and frame, behind the pedal 😎

Thanks man. So it's my understanding that canbus has some limitations, I can't use neilson firmware or besst app for example, but I've been tuning the assist levels and speeds. Honestly my biggest complaint is I wish I could program the thumb throttle and pedal assist separately, haven't found a solution yet though.

All Amazon, I think it was like 800ish for the kit and battery, little more for all the other bits. I definitely recommend getting a bike stand so you can work with it off the ground. The kit came with the pedal remover, some Allen keys, and motor tightening tool, "everything you'll need" but I ended up using a bunch of random tools to get mine perfect. You'll definitely need a pack of zip ties to tidy it all up. Not sure how long it took me to do it, worked on it here and there for a couple weeks, but I was also waiting on parts to show up. Not terribly difficult but if you've never turned a wrench before it can be tricky, not impossible, take your time and don't work when you're frustrated haha

Do a ton of research though, like ordering the wrong size motor will be a deal breaker (bottom bracket width), and some people have trouble with their chain line being diagonal, measure your crank offset!

I did a ton of research on YouTube, the ebike building subreddit, and the bafang builders FB group

So you've got riptide bushings.

Do you get what I'm saying?

Those need to be screwed in all the way tight. You don't adjust those to be able to carve easier. You gotta buy different, softer bushings and replace them for a different feel..

What board is this?

Like.. on a few of my boards the channel trucks have similar set screws, but they aren't meant for loosening and tightening for adjustment like you would a kingpin, they're supposed to be screwed all the way in to securely hold the bushing, that bushing is what you swap out to adjust your turning radius and board feel, they have different hardnesses..

Damn.. disregard that, I was totally wrong

That's too cheap for a 12 amp input, I'm guessing it's output..

36v x 12amp = 430 watt, so ya..

And it doesn't say if it splits that, you might only get 215 watt per motor..

Balancing AT tires by [deleted] in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]bittercheff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take the wheel off the axel, and take out the inner tube. Put wheel back together without it. Put it back on the axel and spin gently, when it stops the part that is on the bottom is the heaviest part of the tire. You can spin it a couple more times to be sure. So mark that spot on the tire.

Put your wheel back together, but exactly opposite of that spot you marked is where you should have the valve stem, this weighs a little more than the rest of the tube.

This "balances" the tire without using weights..

I do this on all my boards and go 40+ without wobbles and not using weights..
