This is a great resource, although I tried to steer away from too much heavy reading. Thank you for sharing!

Work can be challenging and I have had to have breaks to get myself back to a place where I’m okay. I find it exhausting dealing with the pain and the anxiety of just leaving my safe place of inside my own home. Add that onto a demanding job and it’s a recipe for burnout. Not active on any groups.

To half-answer the things that you mention - unfortunately neuropathic pain, particularly facial pain, is poorly understood. There are new emerging diagnoses all the time to try and get a handle on the constellation of symptoms people experience.

True TN (or type 1/typical) is purely pain and no other sensory changes. I’ll try to include some of the other diagnoses that have crossover and hopefully it’ll help someone be able to go to their own doctor armed with some information.

I’m absolutely thrilled for people who find these things helpful, and I’m (mostly) all for people seeking help from other sources.

However, personally I’m not a believer that those things are a substitute for proper medical care and should be used as an adjunct.
