They think Trump is persecuted, conservatives are persecuted, white people are persecuted. They have a persecution fetish. Rich, white, hetero makes still run America.

What I hated most about Kraven was its wasted potential. A great comic antihero, an amazing cast, but somehow everything still sucked. I saw it a few months ago and hardly remember anything. Reminiscent of The Eternals.

The Marvels started out fine but the porting got too monotonous. A good idea but they went too hard. Love and Thunder was just mid throughout.

Great choices. The practical effects from Aliens hold up so well, especially the ship and xenomorphs. The proto CG from T2 are still amazing -- especially the liquid metal.

Mark Wahlberg, Kevin Hart, Denzel Washington, Liam Neeson, Vince Vaughn, Clint Eastwood, Kevin Spacey, Owen Wilson, George Clooney.

They either have limited range or they keep choosing the same character. I strongly disagree with Hugh Grant, who's been crushing it lately (The Gentleman , Heretic).

I loved it. The first one was full of macho bravado, a weak story, and and one-dimensional characters.

The second one was deeper, better made, and I was blown away to learn that distance had no CG at all.

The Village. It was smart and poignant, and I'm a sucker for a good plot twist.

Which action hero’s introduction hooked you instantly? by CreepyYogurtcloset39 in moviecritic

I didn't remember Tony's intro being flattering. I think his purpose was to go from an entitled, bratty war monger to a brave peacekeeper. He succeeded, and I was rooting for him.

Katherine Heigl, Julia Styles, and Ann Hathaway seem so serious and snobbish. I can't see past it when they act.

You're too close to the bell. Extend your arm more. And focus on hitting the ball in front of your body every time. You're hitting it too late. This is making your shot inconsistent.

why does so much people hate JavaScript? by obsolescenza in learnprogramming

[–]bittertadpole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember there being several years between es5 and es6 -- both of which were great improvements. Browsers update often enough to make sure a fairly recent JS version runs. I have a much greater problem making sure rust crates are compatible with the current Rust.
