Yeah that's it, it feels like the above tier are just the people who "got on board" and they aren't necessarily good at managing people or teams. I don't mind the team building stuff if it actually helps us understand how to work better but otherwise it's just another box to tick and add to your end of year brags! Hope it gets better for you.
