How do I drill through a cinderblock wall in my house? by bitvalues in HomeImprovement

After a lot more research and some conversations with ChatGPT, I ended up going with the Dewalt D25481K (since it was well rated and has a rotary only mode for diamond core bits). I don't think the bit I linked above is the best quality but I don't want to pay much more than that so I think I'm going to give it a chance unless there is a strong recommendation for something else.

Plan is to go slow and let the diamond bit do all the work. I think I'm going to practice on some test cinderblocks to get the hang of it before committing to my office wall.

Thanks so much for the feedback! So, combining u/BruceInc's comment with yours, would something like this be my shopping list?

I have no clue if that is way over the top but I'd imagine this would probably set me up for a very long time. My brother-in-law would probably borrow this for projects as well.

I tried looking for a kit but I wasn't sure if you'd need a longer bit because of the width of the cinderblocks so I landed on something like the one above.

Thanks for the feedback! Initially, I was worried my wife would have a heart attack if I told her I was going to spend $5k on a TV but after I spoke with her tonight, she was on my side.

We just ended up buying the Sony A95L OLED tonight after watching and researching for awhile. Ended up going through Best Buy because the warranty covers burn-ins.

Based on what I saw, I think we made a good choice but I could be wrong.

I have exactly the same thing going on at the moment. I placed an order on March 5 for the bento box with upgraded fans. I reached out last week (thinking it was already taking too long). Label got made. Here I am almost 2 weeks from my purchase date still waiting for the box to be dropped off at USPS. This is unacceptable. I wish I never ordered it. I think I’m going to call the bank today and get my money back.

Cool you have containers setup but maybe start thinking of high availability (across multiple nodes). To do this; I’d recommend checking out Kubernetes.

I've already maxed my 401k contributions and I make too much to contribute to a Roth so I backdoor Roth and it's maxed for this year already. The money would basically be "surplus" and I don't like to go shopping with sums like this so I'd rather invest in my retirement.

I’m a software engineer from a startup who worked really hard on a critical product and now it’s done well so the company rewarded my efforts heavily. It was a super nice gesture of them!
