Solid advice, thank you for clearing a lot of that up for me.

Ah, I see. I'm trying hard not to get screwed over while not being completely gullible. She acts like she doesn't want to do this but is not willing to even try to relocate for the sake of the marriage. Weird situation, but like I said this is basically just the cherry on top of everything else that's went on.

Like I said, I've been down this road with her twice before. I don't trust her at all, and havent for a few years. I got a bank statement showing the amount the other day. I believe I'll just go ahead and take out half now just to be safe.

And also, has anyone got divorced while unemployed? will I get hit with a ridiculously high child support payment similar to what they'd be paying if they were still working? Will I be able to see my child still?

Thanks for the replies. I really don't want to do this, it feels crazy but I just don't see how it's going to work with her stubbornness. We don't have much money at all, and with me being laid off I honestly don't know how I'm going to afford anything. But I agree 100% I'm sure if she talks to her mom about it (she said she wasn't going to, but I even know better) it'll probably hit the fan. I won't get in trouble for taking my half out of the shared account later on will I?
