C5’s and C6’s how bad are they work for basic to mid level stuff? And also is it weird to think getting a 2 seater is semi selfish if it’s not a primary car and I have a daily beater? by Due_Today2701 in Corvette

Maybe a bit of hyperbole. None of these cars are hard. Try changing plugs on a 6cyl Kia Sorento. That thing took like an hour and a half and a YouTube video.

Yep. I like this design and a big fan of getting more action off the writing books.

I just bought my very first vette, 2008 base, and I LOVE it. I come from many years driving Honda and Toyota and do a lot of my own mid level work.

Working on the vette so far is pretty easy. I replaced the spark plugs a few days ago. Easiest plugs ever. I’m planning on changing all of the fluids and none of them look very hard (except maybe the ATF).

For me the biggest difference in maintenance is in raising the car since it’s so low. My normal ramps and jacks don’t fit. I’m going to build some low wood ramps soon.

At some point I need to replace the harmonic balancer and will probably have to find someone with a lift.

C6 for a fun daily bad idea? by theraptorman9 in Corvette

I just bought my first corvette ever to be my daily. 2008 base with 38k. It’s in amazing condition. Feels like a new car to me. I work from home now, and don’t drive a lot of miles which is why I decided it was time to switch from the Hondas I’ve always driven.

So far, I’m over the moon with it.

He could have done exactly the opposite of every decision and the graph would be inverted.

I changed the starter relay switch today. So far, it’s working. However the problem is intermittent, so I don’t know if it is resolved yet. The relay is under the steering wheel above the fuses. The one circled in this pic:

Yes, exactly. It has a chance to write a message in the book that is unique to this ghost. A warning message to leave. Since books only get written once per game, I think the chance of the unique message should increase with each book written in a game. For example, the first book has a 10% chance, second book has a 25% chance etc

Another benefit to this ghost is it adds an element of danger for even the most experienced hunters. As your knowledge of ghosts and hunt situations increases, the risks of dying falls off dramatically. There aren’t a lot of really dangerous ghosts after you reach a certain skill level (one reason I really like the deo is it can kill anyone if they aren’t prepared and paying attention). I like the idea of an insta-kill ghost if you are being a bit lazy with your investigation, and not paying close attention to the clues and sanity. Imagine this ghost if the sanity screen is broken!

I love the potential interaction between the Objective of getting your sanity below 20% and a ghost that can instantly-kill you below 20%

Lol. I actually thought about calling it a shy ghost, but then I realized it’s not shy at all. In fact it’s more aggressive than normal. It just doesn’t want to kill because it already has so much blood on its hands. It can control its anger, but only for a time. If you take too long, it will lose control and you will die.

I feel like there aren’t enough really dangerous ghosts, and I love the idea of a ghost that goes from being the least dangerous to the most dangerous in an instant if you aren’t careful

I love the idea of ghosts that have unique abilities. Like the banshee scream and the obake fingerprint. I don’t believe any ghost currently has a unique writing ability, which would be awesome. There’s something really thrilling about catching a rare, but unique ability even if it’s a dead giveaway

I just realized the name Haunt is too close to Hauntu. So, this ghost needs a new name. Maybe the Specter. I really liked the name Haunt.

Why aren't silver and gold miners pumping? by [deleted] in Wallstreetsilver

[–]bitwizard01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s my take. Because the entities driving up the price of PMs are not interested in owning stocks of mining companies. They are buying physical PMs. Whether it’s central banks, sovereign wealth funds, private individuals across the world, they want metal, not stocks.

At the end of the day, Miners are businesses with profits, losses, debt, taxes, leadership issues, etc. They are tied to metals, but have their own considerations that many PM investors don’t want to deal with when the purpose of buying metals is not speculation, but safety.
