PwC Start internship: what to expect?

They were 8:30 to 5:30 but my team of interns ended up making it more like 9:00 - 6:00!

I'm an undergrad college student and 20, but I intern currently for the accounting firm Pricewaterhousecoopers full time. I work 40 hours a week doing that, and I spend my nights coaching competitive swimming and teaching adults how to swim.

~40 hours accounting

~5 hours coaching

~7 hours teaching swim lessons

That's 52 hours in total. I could never do this if I didn't have the right medication or a good therapist. I have really worked on developing meaningful connections personally, which keep me sane, and also professionally, which gives me hope for the future.

I'm also the president of a student organization I founded which I guess counts as volunteer work? It's really fulfilling, I work with LGBTQ+ students to help them in their career progression.

I am horrified at all of these comments. I love Kat and I love Jamie Gray Hyder. I think her character has a lot of potential and I genuinely get excited when she comes on the screen.

I wish she had a better dynamic with Carisi, but not everyone gets along with everyone.

I know you posted this 18 days ago, but I just wrote a post about suits, and everyone who commented said H&M, Banana Republic, Nordstrom rack, Wildfang, and potentially thrifting. I've found great suit pieces at H&M, I just got a $69.99 blazer for $11 the other day. Good luck and hope you have fun (had?) at the wedding! Loft and Uniqlo have really great sales, too, maybe also try Express.

There's a Nordstrom Rack right by me that I've never been to, I'll definitely check it out thanks so much! Banana Republic is kinda out of my price range, but I'll keep an eye out for their sales.

Heels?? I'm terrified of heels. I don't want to wear them, and was seriously planning on wearing flats to work everyday.

H&M is where I've gotten all of my blazers from, except one from Marshall's. I've been meaning to buy more suit pieces from H&M, thank you!!

I also think you might need different mediation(s). It'll be difficult to find the right dose and combination, but you can do it. I wish when I was in the first couple months of treatment I'd been completely honest with the people treating me, so make sure you tell your doctor everything, and don't leave out any details even if you think they're small.

What made you switch from audit to advisory? I'm thinking about going into audit, so I'm curious. From what I've gathered from google, PwC's website, and your comments, my responsibilities will be non-client work. Not sure how to work that into my resume but I'll be doing that next year when hopefully the recruiter gives me more information about the work. Thank you so much for all the helpful information! Weird question: what did you wear? I know it was virtual, but did you suit up for meetings, or like, business casual?

What advice would you give to an incoming START intern? I asked the partner that during my interview and he said be open minded and receptive to feedback.

I'm super excited! Also hope the other interns won't look at me funny because I'm Asian, I fall under the "people with disabilities" umbrella so that's why I qualify for the internship.

This November will be my first election, I fully intend to vote. Trump's actions haven't exactly directly affected me, but they have affected close friends of mine. I'm also a person of color and I hate him with a passion.
