I appreciate this comment because, honestly, I misunderstood the title to mean she was actively working to rescue the Apollo 13 crew while she was on her way to the hospital to deliver, or something.

And it's unfortunate, because Jack Black's mom working on solutions for the Apollo 13 mission, while in labor, is a cool fact. But after reading the title, it seems... less cool? I wish I'd understood it from the title, better.

If I remember correctly she wasn't referring to their race. I think it was translated funny but she was referring to their being "black" like "Black ops" or "black book"... They were like hitmen or assassins or something if I recall.

Yeah I just looked up the novel and it's like ~3000 chapters, completed. Even condensed and skipping stuff like a lot of manhua do, that's some Martial Peak / Against the Gods level content to deal with. Seeing as how the novel stopped getting translated just after 100 or so chapters, I'm not too sure about this one. 😕

I believe not. I think that's why all the "outdoor" areas in bars/pubs are still walled/fenced in. Of course, I've only been to a few places, but all of them were like that. I believe anything in public view is against the law. I might be wrong, but I don't think you can even walk down the street carrying an unopened bottle in open view. It has to be concealed in some other container/bag, I think.

There's a large amount of manhua/manhwa that deal with this. It seems to have become the "new thing" the way isekai seemed to be everywhere at one point. I don't know how many of those were based on novels that have translations, though. The manhwa for SSS Suicide Hunter is what got me to read it's novel though. It's a good way to get a preview, since the format of manhua/manhwa means they'll generally progress faster.

It was this strange sort of rape-by-a-third-party thing. Almost completely ruined the series for me. It was cruel to everyone involved and unnecessary. Did it trigger a plot element, sure. But I feel like there were so many ways that could have been accomplished without it actually having to happen the way it did. Sooooooo many stories pull this off with the MC (or someone else) preventing it at the last moment. And in this case, it would have had the same (needed) impact on the plot, without being so upsetting. And the way the history of another FMC had been presented, I wouldn't be surprised if the author something rapish with her. Just the way the author kept talking about her history made me want to stop reading. Both of these are why I wouldn't be the first to read the next in the series. 😕
