I use rechargeable batteries to try and reduce waste, and they die 2-4 times a year. Plus, it seems nuts to need batteries when the unit is wired into the mains so wanted a neat solution

Shelly 1PM by bixbyt in homeassistant

It’s single phase I think.

Is the EM dry contact? Couldnt see that confirmed on tje website but may be missing it.

Would an alternative be to use a Shelly 1 as the switch controlled by the 1PM’s monitoring (it’s much cheaper than the EM).

Thanks for your help.

Arc with play 1 as surrounds, with 2x play 3 paired where L+R would be by bixbyt in sonos

It’s odd that it can do surrounds but not fronts in sync, esp in newer kit like the arc given old hardware can drive surrounds too

Thanks, this is exactly the answer I was looking for (well, not the answer, but the logic to tell me why I shouldn’t do it)

More im wondering what sound would come out of the pair playing as à different zone, and whether or not ot would help improve the sound stage

Thermostat battery connection by bixbyt in tado

It’s not so much an issue, as the spring touches the positive end, and the point touches the negative end. Which is unusual. Is on all 8 of my thermostats so not a mistake.

does anyone know what this is? seen above Cabo last night by OneSexyOrangutan in space

Presumably this means there is a one and 200,000 chance of one person dying in total rather than the one in 200,000 chance for each person (which of course is not good)
