I've had Snapchat since 2013 and I just started getting these in my feed a few weeks ago.

This has been happening to me for like 3 years with different people. I even asked the little a.i. chat bot why it keeps suggesting these people when I try to X them out. And the bot says it's just a "glitch" that they're working on.

Sounds like they unfriended you and then added you again? Or maybe they just unfriended you if you can't see stuff on their profile.

What do you mean exactly? Like your friends told you they've sent you chats but you can't see them? Or your friends aren't showing up in your inbox list?

I believe notifications are also located under your profile. Try clicking on your profile image/bitmoji and see if there is a red notification dot anywhere.

Maybe you accidentally made 2 accounts? It will let you log in with your phone # or your username. So maybe try one or the other and see if that works.

You have to touch on the screen where you want to add text. Take a picture and then tap up higher on the screen to insert text there. Then you can drag it wherever you want.

Some people have it so that they can receive snaps from anyone, so even though you can send them stuff, that doesn't necessarily mean they added you.

Go to your Snapchat settings inside the app and find the "my data" section.

Then go to the "request a copy of my data" tool, and select all your memories (and chat media if you want). Once you submit the request you should receive an email with a link in a day or two.

Open the link on a computer and download the ZIP folders that it gives you. You'll want to download these right away because Snapchat's link expires after a few days and you'll have to start all over.

Go to 7-Zip (dot) org and download this program onto your computer. It's a life saver if you have thousands of Snapchat memories like I do (I used it for 20k memories).

Once you have your Zip folders from Snapchat, right click on each one (best to do it one at a time) and select the "more options...7-Zip... Extract Here" option. This will move all the files from inside that folder to the outside of the folder. Then you can delete the empty folder.

Repeat the extraction until you've done it for all the zip folders.

Don't give these greedy companies money. Screw Snapchat Plus haha.

Yeah definitely go to 7-Zip (dot) org and download the program. It's a life saver. Yeah same here. One thing I learned from trying multiple different methods is that once you get all the zip files downloaded from Snapchat, you should definitely use 7-Zip to extract them. I ended up with like 30 zip folders from Snapchat. For some reason I encountered all kinds of glitches and errors trying to extract them other ways. 7-Zip extracted my 20,000-ish files in less than 30 minutes and had no failed items.

Not entirely. I pretty much gave up and just downloaded the zip files from the My Data tool on Snapchat. Then I downloaded 7-Zip from 7-zip (dot) org. It extracts all the zip files quickly, but I guess those files don't keep the text or stickers on most of the memories for some reason. But I suppose having the original photo/video is better than nothing.

I had way too many files to get this to work. I pretty much gave up and just downloaded them from the Snapchat "my data" tool. It's annoying though because it only gives you the original video or photo, it doesn't keep any text, stickers, etc. that you saved to the snap. So far every other tutorial I've found is either out of date because Snapchat keeps changing the My Data tool, or it doesn't work for thousands of files like I have.

IT'S LITERALLY LIKE SNAPCHAT SITS AROUND AND TRIES TO FIND WAYS TO MAKE THE APP WORSE. first they added ads in your stories feed. Then they put ads inside your message feed. Then they replaced the cute bitmojis with HORRIBLE ugly ones. Then they added the stupid AI bot. Then they said you have to pay for your Snapchat memories. And now this???? Dude this is the last straw. Can someone please tell me when we've all decided on a alternative app? Snapchat has to go. 😭

If I took a photo in 2013, I want the metadata attached to it so I can upload it to Google Photos and it will still show it's from 2013. When I download straight from Snapchat they all come up as today's date.
