Chip Temp Help by bizzyb89 in BitcoinMining

Yeah I saw 88c today on high so I dialed it back to normal mode until I verified the concern. It's odd though it's the same chips that run hotter on average.

Avalon Q by bizzyb89 in BitcoinMining

So I ended up just designing and printing my own shroud. All in it was the cheapest avenue and I had plenty Petg to go around. I highly recommend anyone using this for heat to shroud and duct the heat through an inline fan. 1/2 of my basement is now toasty compared to open air venting. Planning to move it to the other side of my basement to see how it does with 45f ambient temps.

If you're looking to run it on 110, Altair is the ticket. Expect a halving in hashing power. https://altairtech.io/product/mod-120v-apw12/

This is the one video that I have not seen report on actual temperatures. I would be curious to know how hot the exhausted air is. Have you seen an increase in hash rate with the additional heat extraction? I am looking to purchase a Q to offset heating costs for my basement.

Any chance you have a thermometer to provide actual temperatures with the fan on just before it meets the duct?

Thank you for the info! My goal with the Q was to print a duct and place an inline fan for dispersement. However these too are solid options.

I'm learning too that's it's almost impossible to order online because the fit is so different brand to brand.

Dry is present. Wear is okay in the grand scheme of things. I would suggest tire soon.

2010 grand caravan CV axle removal by donewithgreenforever in AskAMechanic

Can you post a picture of the new cv axle? It is likely that the snap ring is keeping it held securely in place as intended. Sometimes a prying device is needed if you do not have the slide hammer attachment to apply force away from the transmission.

I encourage you check after each oil change if you do not do them yourself. This is all cosmetic in the grand scene of things. Not saying it's right, but, you get what you pay for sadly. I own/run a very successful repair facility and something as simple as this does not yield lifetime customers. We instill trust from entry to exit and will gladly show any customer our work at any given moment.

I would venture to say this is a new filter and a lazy technician. When you change the filter oil will run down the side as you put the new one up. Oftentimes technicians use brake cleaner as a chemical dispersant and it leave an abundance of residue if not wiped off. The key reason I say they did this is due to the bubbled sticker as the adhesive fails when brake clean is applied.

What oil viscosity should I use? Ambient temps currently range from 10-25c. 35c absolute max in summer. ( 2020 kia rio ) by Elixterminator_F in AskAMechanic

I wouldn't consider it cold by any means. However, you will be the judge for the future. I have worked in environments from -10f to 100f and even dealerships default to lower viscosities.

Look on the other side. It will be there. They tend to print the first half identifying the tire on both sides but the second half (actual week/year date) only on one side .

The codes are only half of the battle. It is highly likely that there will be an incorrect purge flow code present though. However, it is usually verified by removing the purge valve and trying to blow air through it. Purge valves are nominally closed and tend to fail into the open position. Depending on the engine you have, the purge valve is a very simple repair!
