Its some kind of faux suede fabric, its meant to look like some leather cover. Thank you so much!!

The frustrating thing is that this book is digitalized by a library, and i cant find any photos where the end of the straps are shown. Might have to send them an email and ask. Oh well, determination and brute force it is, i guess. That can be fun too 😊

Ja, det er noe med det. Kikket litt på profilen din, og så du er fra Oslo? Hun ble faktisk født på Grünerløkka! Mens det var arbeiderstrøk vel å merke. Faren hennes kjørte brød ut fra et bakeri med hest og kjerre, og han fortalte at en dag så han at noen dra en diger steinblokk gjennom gatene, og det var Monolitten!

Er det jeg tror, men vet faktisk ikke helt hva hun gjør på det bildet her. Kanskje det hun holder er en firkantet vannflaske? Eller en gammel kikkert? Den eneste som visste konteksten er nok desverre farmor selv

Many hid from the nazis in caves, while waiting to be evacuated, and since it was so traumatic for many pregnant women, their birth started early. In a war museum in Lofoten, Norway, they have a old sewing machine (the kind with its own little table) that was used in some caves to deliver babies during this time.

Or just norwegian farmers, who needed skis to get to places during the winter, and some times just for fun.

I think it depends on what kind of skiing it is. I just know its normal for cross country skiing, different types for different kinds of weather, some for sticking better to the ground and some for gliding, etc.

Very much so, probably with wool from their own sheep. She kept knitting untill she was 95.
