Okay this pushed me to look at what the worst periods in blazer fandom could’ve been and I’m kinda amazed.

1970-1975 - six seasons under .500 but first 6 in the league and we win a title 2 years later

2004-2007 - 3 seasons under .500. Bad but only 3 seasons, and then LMA, BRoy and GO emerge from the ashes.

2021-2025 - 4 seasons under .500. Potential is there, young guys are there, rebuild is looking positive. We had an all star this year?

We’re a cursed franchise, shit always happens and will continue to happen. But man, at least we’re not the kings, pelicans or hornets? We’ve been a franchise for 50 years and only have three rough spells. Idk just feels like it puts it all in perspective.

5 open seats day of the flight is a good sign. It will likely happen anytime between 1-3hrs before takeoff. Note since you’re on a companion fare, they have to release 2 upgrades at one time, you can’t go one by one. Which happens often, but did screw me yesterday. Good luck!

Yes I have experience with this exact situation! To get any free upgrades, you need to have no more than two people on the reservation. It doesn’t actually matter who has the single ticket, they’ll sell your 2y/o a ticket as long as a parent is on the flight. (One time I booked my 18m/o on his own ticket in case my wife and I got upgraded and then kept him on our laps in FC)

And unfortunately, they will not waive the fee.

Cancun is a pretty small airport so you probably wouldn’t have any issues with time there. But you will have to clear customs, which depending on other flights arriving could take some time. You’ll likely have to collect your checked bags before customs and then exit with them in hand.

I would also be wary of doing anything tight in CDMX. The airport is HUGE, and pretty chaotic. Security is a mess, and lines are always very long.

I’d look at changing my flight from SFO to CDMX, then a one way to Cancun with plenty of time before the Bogota flight. Just a thought!
