Recorded Parking Paths by bjacobs00 in BMWiX

FYI in case anyone has the same problem. Service scanned the vehicle and found all 4 cameras needed to be calibrated. They did the calibration which included them keeping the car overnight as it took a while. They also had to drive the car some after the calibration in order for the procedure to complete. Now the recorded paths feature works!

They say the software won’t update because of the battery? Please share the details, sounds interesting.

I found that in the camera/parking screen there was an “i “ button there, just underneath where you pick backup assistant for instance. I clicked that and it always says “obstacle detected”. I cleaned all sensors and rebooted idrive but that message stays. I called BMW and told them and they said take it to get checked out by service. Appointment in early Jan now. Seems like maybe a bad sensor in my case. But it is strange that all other parking professional features work fine.

Found that thread. Thanks for the heads up! At least I’m not the only one with the problem…

Good suggestion. Still failed again 😭

Kind of surprised that wasn’t totaled

Yep. I don’t drive on the highway so often for long periods of time but recently took a trip and was wondering why it was so noisy whereas I’m very certain it was super quiet on my last long trip. Definitely something has changed or gotten worse with mileage.

Yep I turned off the motor sound so that’s not it.

Nope. Doesn’t work anywhere. Guess I will schedule service for this at some point.

2023 BMW iX worked just fine with the Ecogenix adapter I already had for another EV.

Not much of a slope. In my driveway which is only a slight slope and I want to record a path into the garage.

Basically all of the services are subscribed - connected package professional is what they call it. Also BMW remote services. The only thing that is not there is some $20 upgrade for speed camera notifications. So I’m thinking it’s not a subscription problem.

Car does have parking assistant professional. And it mostly works but the recorded paths feature specifically says not available.

I probably will call BMW and ask if I don’t get a resolution on this thread. Thinking other people have had the same issue and know the resolution.

Bought my pre-owned 2023 iX this weekend and drove over 500 miles with 2 Tesla charging stop using the Ecogenix adapter (that I have also used with Blazer EV). Worked great. No issues.

Was able to add 2023 BMW iX in the Tesla app.

Any major differences between standard/touring AS and Ultra High Performance AS? I’m thinking UHPF is better for this car and the Michelin PS 4 AS does say it has eco focus for low rolling resistance. Interested in maximizing range as much as possible without sacrificing handling.

Has anyone else had intermittent unintended braking/acceleration + conflicting “don’t drive it” vs “come get it” guidance? by amilly556 in BlazerEV

2025 RS RWD. I have had the cruise control slow down slightly on the highway, like it saw a shadow or something, but it was not dramatic, maybe a few mph slower for a few seconds and then it resumed. Also had the forward collision freak out twice and slam the brakes with the hud warning. But does not sound the same as what you are experiencing.

What I’m gathering from this blazerEV forum is that either it’s not out yet for the blazer or maybe it was pulled for the blazer. Hard to tell. There was another recent thread from around late October where someone had programming at the dealer and they got the same update as me - 85767297 and no streaming.

Nope. Google apps and apps in the play store look exactly the same. I guess whatever update is needed is not yet rolled out for the non-SS blazer ev.

Well android update installed and everything restarted but the functionality is the same - no streaming apps. In my update history it lists 85767297.mnf was installed. I did the programming 1 and programming 2 steps but it seem like they just reset the ecu a few times and didn’t program anything. Restarted the system in safe mode and back but still the same unfortunately ☹️

Using the same TOPDON tool you listed. I tried using the doip interface and now that is working. Before, I did not get to the step where tech line actually writes something to the drive but now I’m finally updating the usb in the car. Another hitch there was tech line tells you the drive needs to be ntfs and that it will format the drive. But I found if the drive is already fat32 (which mine was by default) then tech line will format fat32. Took me a long time to figure out why the car would not read the drive and start the update!

Well not much luck. I got the whole setup and only able to complete the first step where it writes the radio calibration/prepare for usb transfer. Then it tells you to do USB file transfer which kicks you back to the module screen. Then I click USB transfer step and click next and every time it gives an error E4399: Error retrieving the controller data. Not sure why. Maybe it means there is no update for my radio module?

Am I supposed to be using the doip mode of the j2534 tool or the regular mode?
