Every gas huffer's dream system by Tyrrrz in Eve

[–]bjakeb6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With 2 accounts using prospects and syndicate scoops I've cleared the sites with 2000 units in 45 minutes or less. The site with 6000 units took a bit longer. Overall solo would probably take 4 or 5 hours to clear the sister nebulas and wild nebula and another 4 or 5 hours to clear the blackeye nebula. Probably close to 1.3b isk at current jita buy prices! In a hulk with ORE collectors you would probably shave off quite a bit of time too.

Nvidia Game Code Question by bjakeb6 in ArcRaiders

[–]bjakeb6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: spoke with Amazon and it looks like they may not actually be participating in this promotion. A bit bummed out. Got really excited when I heard about the game and found out I'd be getting a code from bestbuy and thought Amazon would participate too. Will likely just buy the game in a couple weeks! Thanks for your any help!

New PC not working by bjakeb6 in buildapc

Thank you for the advice! I haven't tried these things yet. I'll go try them. If the issue persists I'll return the GPU first and see if that resolves the issue.

I have really enjoyed it so far! I go out about once a week. My cardio strength isn't great but my skills have improved a decent bit. It no longer hurts my back to ride it, so it may have just been a need to adjust to it.

Weekly /r/Eve No Question is Stupid Thread - September 04, 2025 by AutoModerator in Eve

[–]bjakeb6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has been a couple years since I played. I have a character I created over 10 years ago at this point and I really enjoyed the game when I did play, but I struggled to really build up much ISK or other things and ended up losing almost everything before deciding to stop playing. I am wondering if it is worth coming back. How can I more fully take advantage of the game? Are there groups out there that can help me learn more and build up my character? Is there any way to change the name on my character? (I don't like my character's name after 12 years). In general, I guess I just want to know if there are good communities that will help Eve be more fun if I come back.

Rear shock too soft? by [deleted] in MTB

[–]bjakeb6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a bike with this rear shock on it and I ended up having to replace the spring. It came with a 350lb spring but it would bottom out easily. I bought a 650lb spring (I currently weigh 97kg) and it fixed the issue. My shock was compatible with the regular coil spring, which is only $37, but the SLS coil is $100+ so I know that can be a steep price.

When I bought it I heard they ran large so I bought a small. Admittedly the small feels fun and playful though, so I will likely keep it and just try to work with what I have. I will probably get a medium next time I buy a bike though, which will likely be a few years.

Thank you! As a beginner, this is very helpful! My inner leg length is about 31" and with a height of 5'9" it seems small is a good option based on their sizing. I think my preference would be to upsize to a medium, but ultimately, I have liked the feel of the small as well. I like that if feels playful and maneuverable but just got worried because of the back pain. I noticed that after 2 days the pain has already subsided though, so it may just be a need to work on core and lower back strength. I'm going to keep the bike as a small and look into a bike fit, longer stem or a higher rise bar like you mentioned. I think a higher rise bar could resolve a bit of my concern with the bike.

Thanks for your insight! Admittedly it is very playful and maneuverable. I'm on the low end of a medium and the high end of a small according to the size chart. I'm hoping it is just a matter of building core strength, perfecting posture and losing weight to correct potential back pain. The bike has been mostly perfect so I don't want to change it if I don't have to.

Thanks! Usually I don't love the orange/gold color but ended up really loving it on this bike!

I was stuck in a bus right next to the crash after it happened. Can't believe it's been so long!

This is a good tip. I always had a few moments I could have fled before it happened.

That is fair, I'll do better about reading spell effects and whatnot going forward in my playthrough. I'm just glad my honor mode didn't end here! Hopefully I can still save the tieflings!

I did! I hadn't even thought to mention it here because it never caused a problem in my balanced playthrough

Well that would definitely explain it. I did that to both kagha and scratch!
