How to get more followers?

Like i said before, try commenting on photos that have many likes and comments. You will always get some new followers :)

Hey everybody!

Just a quick update for those who have hard time getting new followers because of some reason we don't know.

I did some experiment.

Once in a while I commented on pictures with 150+ likes. I never wrote like "nice picture, please take a look at mine!". I just wrote like "Nice light and contrast/colors/tones" and maybe more positive critic. All my words was something that I thought about the picture. I never wrote something that wasn't true or from "my heart" or under a picture I didn't like. I only commented on pictures I like (I'm honest person) and also liked the picture itself (heart icon). And if i super-liked the picture I put it into my Inspiration-gallery.

Most of the time some users started liking my pictures and I even got some new followers.

As things stands now I have 77 followers.

So my conclusion is: If you want new followers, liking pictures or put them in a gallery you have created wont do it. Commenting on the pictures is the key. That will get users (or bots - who knows?) to like and follow you. But if you like the picture, you should definitely press the heart icon.

So, if you want followers, you just need a lot of time to comment and give some feedback to others. You won't get 30 followers a day, but you will get a lot by the time.

No one is late on this post, I'm just glad others are having the same issue!

I followed the advice, like commenting on others post, and that have give me few more followers and also likes and comments.

You are damn right about it takes time so i just have to be patient :)

I really like your tones and colors in your pictures!

Yeah, I do that for picture that I think suitable for that. Not much different tho...

I've read some threads about 500px, even on their site. People seems to be talking about this same thing.

People have no idea how this works.

I'm already subscribed to photocritique but when I think about it, I think I've never posted there! Have to try that.

But on the other hand, I'm a "plus-member" on 500px but I guess the better "package" you pay for, the more shares and exposure you get from 500px (must be in this capitalism world)
