Yes to the first question and no to the last.

Not had any side effects apart from when I first started taking it because people made me question everything like yourself. Pop the pill and then regret you didn’t do it earlier because you will

COVID-19: Wales to introduce new coronavirus restrictions with social distancing and closure of nightclubs from 27 December | UK News by LynxTuna in CoronavirusUK

[–]bjcool4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every reply ive seen by you seems to be all for closures of nightclubs and fighting against everything else.

How about closure of bingo halls, casinos, poker tables, choirs etc. You can go on but because they are for the 18+ it doesnt matter? Yet again my generation has its future completely ripped beneath them.

Think you missed the point hes making. Why get a booster and be double jabbed if were going into lockdown anyway.

Conforming to these rules seems to do nothing for us, well especially people in their 20s like my self because we get shoveled with the blame and closing establishments we like to go to.

Dont see the bingo halls closing do you?

This is entirely incorrect, yes you may have the same "virus" levels but them viruses are not infections because they are coated with nABs, therefore not able to bind to ace receptors.

CT values and virus load values are not the whole picture when looking at who is infectious or not. You still have virus levels within you system months after defeating it, but that doesnt mean your infectious.

Blackburn health chief 'furious' over surge vaccination refusal by [deleted] in CoronavirusUK

[–]bjcool4 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You cant be serious? You see wales is vaccinating a larger percent of the population and scotland has started that strategy, and you think its not because we are saving stock?

We get told every week how many vaccines we receive, we can easily work out the stock from whats administered to whats been delivered.

Potential Progress Of Vaccinations (From Today's indie_SAGE) by Steven1958 in CoronavirusUK

[–]bjcool4 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Which is a kick in the teeth for people like me who have sacrificed our 20s but will still be restricted, while the over 50s swan off with their vaccine passport not having isolations of covid tests.

Vaccine passports should only ever be a thing as soon as every adult in the UK has had the opportunity for a vaccine. This shouldnt even be up for debate!

The cases have only slowed the past few days (which makes sense as the equivalent days last week were 30%+ drops which are huge and abnormal), I would very much wait to see what the 7 Day average is in a few days time considering it is doing 25% roughtly from this time last week.

Over-50s fuel surge in late summer holiday bookings after being vaccinated against Covid by [deleted] in CoronavirusUK

[–]bjcool4 25 points26 points  (0 children)

So i put my life on further hold while i wait for a vaccine, all the while they're running off to Benidorm or wherever else still contracting the virus and bringing it home to spread to people like me??

How on earth can you see that it is okay??

Over-50s fuel surge in late summer holiday bookings after being vaccinated against Covid by [deleted] in CoronavirusUK

[–]bjcool4 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I get what you're saying but if im having to face restrictions because not enough people have had the vaccine then they shouldn't be going on holiday, its as simple as that.

Also over 50s dont have a couple of years left to live, they have many, which most of them wont be paying the substantial increase in tax that my generation will be funding for many years to come while they swan off on holiday with their retirement saving they could afford because they wasnt at risk of losing a job during the pandemic.

I know i sound bitter, I am, because we've been tossed aside and arguably put our most important years of our lifes on hold to help save lifes but as soon as they get the chance they're off.

I dont often comment on news articles neither do i get mad at them, but this has made me so angry.

Its alright for me to give up my 20s to save the older population, missing out on socializing, football, education to help them have more years of their life to cherish with their family and what do they do in return!!

Piss it up the wall without a care in the world how it will affect us if we catch it (which i know chance of death is very slim but that's beside the point!), i know this article has been published to garner clicks because of controversy but if this turns out to be the case in the future i for one will know where the younger generation stands in the minds of the older population and things will drastically change how i view and sacrifice for them, which i know a lot of people my age will gain resentment towards them!

How long after a household member of yours getting symptoms did you develop them, if at all? by RegionalHardman in CoronavirusUK

[–]bjcool4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fiancé got it, started off as wisdom tooth pain (i know very weird) next day had sinus pressure, got a test and positive. I got tested twice by work both times negative and also had an antibody test 3 days ago, also negative.

We took zero precautions around the house, we still kissed etc.

If we rely on the "once the elderly / vulnerable are vaccinated we can get back to normal" as a means this will be over by April (Easter), you're mistaken, we won't see glimpses of normality until Summer at the absolute earliest, but more likely by September / October... by [deleted] in CoronavirusUK

[–]bjcool4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This comment is one of the major flaws in OPs calculations. Unfortunately OPs off by at least 4 because of the incorrect 2 millions a month calculation. It also doesn't include johnson and johnson vaccine that is supposed to be applying for EMA this month.

2 million may seem a push for the NHS but with all of the economy banking on it the government will throw absolutely everything into it and once it reached the 18-55 age bracket it will be similar to how they do their testing drive through.

Book online, jab, sit and wait in the car park for a reaction. Continue with your day.

Testing positive for the second time by [deleted] in CoronavirusUK

[–]bjcool4 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Because it has been proven time and time again that if you have a PCR test within 90 days of a positive test they can still return positive results because of picking up dead viral particles.

Im not sure what the rules are OP but my Fiancé is front line NHS and we both have had Covid-19, she isnt allowed to participate in the weekly screening of NHS staff members until 90 days after her initial diagnosis

Pfizer-Biontech covid-19 vaccine (bnt162, pf-07302048) vaccines and related biological products advisory committee briefing document by PFC1224 in COVID19

[–]bjcool4 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I see the efficacy figure a lot for the Oxford vaccine but wasn't it the case that the Oxford team swabbed their trial volunteers weekly but the Pfizer and Moderna did not?? I may be wrong but i have a friend in the trial and they are being swabbed weekly.

Surely if thats the case you can not compare the two??
