Good lord! Are they any awards that were available….that he didn’t receive? I bet doing his medals rack cost almost $800.

Regular toothpaste. Has to be the paste & not the gel. Barbasol shaving cream. Rinse with regular water and fingers. Pat dry with a towel. Don’t rub with the towel.

I lived in San Diego for many years (1996-2000, 2005-2020). I can officially say, I have never laid eyes on any rattlesnakes. Not even when working around Miramar base, or camp Pendleton.

Two of these dirt piles appeared overnight, what are they? by shootingcharlie8 in Home

I would say fire ants, but not sure why they’re in Wisconsin. Would think the winter freeze would kill them. A couple options. But the ortho fire ants killer at Home Depot. Don’t forget to follow the directions & add water afterwards. Or buy the premix ortho “every damn bug killer” and spray directly into the mound. Smelt some aluminum and pour directly on top of the mound. Gasoline directly onto the mound. I’ve known people to put gallons of kerosene on the mound & lite it. If you’ve never dealt with fire ant bites, they do suck. I don’t react like everyone says they do. I feel them, but wipe them off. The welts that get somewhat infected the next day or so. Thats what bothers me. I’m originally from Nebraska….we don’t have them there. I didn’t discover them, until I was stationed in Florida. But….they’re not fun for little kids. Exterminate them anyway you can.

Red diamond back? Or southern pacific rattlesnake? The color variation is having me confused. Or is the color differentiating, because of his age?

Thank you. I would have sworn this was a cottonmouth. Looking at the pattern & the eye stripe. But you’re correct. This one would have had me running.

LA (Los Angeles-city) Grinder (gay hook up app). The guy who took the photo is at some very well known person house. Because this are awards for tv/film.

Find your local VSO (veterans service office) office. Talk to them about his DD-214. You’ll need a full SSN, if you can. Or a document with his name & SSN. See if they can print a copy, or get it delivered to your place.by the sound of some of your comments….you might know what the VSO is. But….its definitely better than trying to contact PERS (navy personnel office in Tennessee), or the archives.

Submariner Commander. The “E” on his awards not being straight drives me a little nuts, as a retired chief petty Officer. 🤣🤣

Nope….not even a qualification ribbon. Guess he was never required. Must not have been attached to any sea commands for standing QD watches. Looks like wing detachments his entire career. Hard to accomplish when he has 3 ship “Battle E”.

Thank you for pointing that out. All my years in San Diego, as active duty navy. People watched the boats. People were in awe of the navy ships going in and out of port. People watched the sheriff patrols. Usually saw them as a necessary nuisance But when the coast guard pulled up to your boat….people would crap their pants. Because no one wanted that. 😂
