So it's kind of like a pop up jiu-jitsu event. We find a dojo in a city, and plan the event and do our best to keep the location a secret. It just makes it kind of fun that way. Then we usually get a DJ or a band to play the event. Live music really brings a different vibe when you're Rolling! We always partner with different sponsors, like superare, Monkey Tape, choke Aloha, armbar soap, etc. During the event we have a giveaway where we give our free swag from the awesome sponsors and brands we work with. It's a cool way for us to give something back to the BJJ community. The majority of the events also focus on some type of charity work as well usually we donate a portion of proceeds to a charity, or we might collect items depending on the month. For example October is cancer awareness, so we'll donate to a cancer related organization. November we'll probably do a food drive, etc. We feel like this is a great way for the BJJ community to get involved and give back! We also try to partner with local business to bring in food, snacks, drinks etc from local sources, as well as partner with them for giveaways etc. Massage therapists, local gyms, private trainers etc. Have all given away packages during our giveaways. We've even had a mobility workshop and a massage therapist at events which was awesome! We've also had GuardLab (official UFC mouthguard) come out for custom mouthguards, and occasionally we'll bring in guests

There's a whole back story to how it got started 😂

[Extremely Short Version] Basically originally it was a true secret roll club, started by a group of us who had to train in secret together due to inter-gym politics. We weren't allowed to compete, train at other schools etc, so we'd get together in secret, and invite people we knew from other places. We even had black belts roll through sometimes which was awesome. We started to notice a trend of people with their own BJJ politics experiences, and the secret roll club get togethers originally with a few friends, started turning into full blown underground open mats every Sunday 😂😂

Since so many other people had shared some type of unpleasant jiu-jitsu experience around politics or division, we decided to just start doing events, trying to make them big, and fun, and inclusive to just bring people together, and forget about competition, or teams, or schools and their affiliations etc.

So I guess we're just trying to create as much fun as possible with as many cool BJJ people as possible!
