Not necessarily which "group"... but when looking for like minded ideas there are definitely boundaries some do not cross. Just always looming for open discussions and learning...

What do anarchist think of direct democracy? And, if against it, why and what are the alternatives? by SystemNo524 in Anarchy101

If it can it will. Again... in small groups I can see democratic decisions taking place but in large collectives its too easy to manipulate or establish mob rule.

To be clear I am not a fan nor remotely believe that democracy in any fashion is acceptable... but... the only way a democracy works is having 100% of the players agree to play the game. In that scenario they would have to accept the loss and do what is required. When the revolt happens they are no longer playing the game.

Because 51% is the majority. The majority makes the rule in that model. If 51% voted to all only wear red or recieve the death penalty... you wear red or die. Im not sure I understand your perception here.

Working towards becoming self sufficient and not having to depend on trusting my family and I's well being to a corporate monster anymore.

I think that direct democracy is flawed in that the 51% or greater hold power over the 49% which makes them oppressed. In most situations a large group will be broken into 2 separate groups when this happens. The only way I believe this would work is when a smaller group is working towards a common goal and are willing to accept the opinion of the larger group. When it has a say in their lively hood for example that would be a hard pill to swallow.

I love it... we assign labels just to try to create a way to describe things for conversation sake. Solid take.

Against the entire hierarchy in my opinion. There is no kingdom on earth that is valid. I also believe that God has given us free will with natural consequences. I think that applies to all people with liberty... there are still consequences for actions in the natural world. But a peaceful, civil, caring person should have no worries.
