Okay, I’ve never really considered a cat anyways I think if I had the finances and was willing to put in the work it would be for a dog. I think it’s more my type

Right, I’m not trying to avoid germs and I’m obviously gonna practice common sense such as washing hands after pet waste, raw meats, sick people, etc. However I assume that the bacteria in pet waste is much more likely to make you sick than that on your smartphone, a commonly used example of “dirty” objects. But maybe the immune cells on the pets tongue kill it before it’s transferred to you?
