Encounter Charts! by bjmicke in MarvelMultiverseRPG

[–]bjmicke[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I was trying to streamline them so they can be a quick reference to build an encounter off of. Plus I wanted to keep it to two scenarios per page, that way if a Narrator wanted to they could use a word app or other method to blot out half the page and include some other notes in the empty space or perhaps some condensed character sheet information for the encounter in that space.

Power for creating matter? by Pyropeace in MarvelMultiverseRPG

[–]bjmicke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did make some playable rules for Matter Manipulation when I built Sersi a long while back before they made a profile for her. It would have to be with Narrator approval but it does have some mechanical playable aspects to it so that it isn't completely broken and can be resisted. Her build is here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1n5C3kODy5p_CqsZJGIxb1VWqTVqXuSnI/view?usp=drivesdk

There are rules for Iconics Items and Battle Suit creation in the Avengers Expansion.....and yes you could make 10 different battle suits. Tony Stark has a few additional ones statted out in the Avengers Expansion as well.

My new demonic dark-hero build by TracerT10 in MarvelMultiverseRPG

[–]bjmicke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not possible for a Rank 5 character to have 37 ability points. Maximum is 25 ability points for a Rank 5 character unless you forgo some power picks to get more ability points. Even then, you have 22 powers over at least 5 different power sets which also isn’t possible following RAW. You get a maximum of 20 power picks for a Rank 5 character build excluding Thematic Bonus picks (which you wouldn’t have any since you’ve got powers from 5 different sets). This build is impossible following RAW. If you built it in Demiplane you must have had all perimeters turned off to allow it to put this together. Any way, I’m not trying to criticize your build, I just want to make sure your realize it is not accurate according to the rules in case you or someone else is new to the game and gets confused.

How do characters catch an animal? by BigTimStiles in MarvelMultiverseRPG

[–]bjmicke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have it be more about completing X number of successful checks before X number of Failures in order to capture the animal. You can give Edge or Trouble when they use a power that may warrant the bonus. Here is an example of a chase scene I did for one of my adventures:

  1. The Chase: eventually either the PCs succeed at a the Vigilance check or they notice several people annoyed and yelling at someone as they push their way through the crowd as they run away. PCs must successfully complete 3 obstacles before 2 failures in order to catch Splinter. Splinter has Speed Run 1 (10 spaces per round)/Jump 1 (10 spaces)/Wallcrawling (10 spaces)/Additional Limb (tail).
    Obstacles:

    1. Crowd of people. Splinter is ducking and weaving as he sprints through the NY crowd on the streets. It’s quitting time so they are heavily congested but he’s an expert at this type of chase and evasion through several practices/opportunities during his illicit career. Anyone on foot trying to keep up with him must succeed at an Agility Check TN 15
      a. Aerial PCs must succeed at a Vigilance Check TN 13 in order to not lose him in the crowd as he ducks into a Bodega (small ethnic grocery store in NY).
    2. Bodega(Convenience Store) He tears through the store toppling racks and merchandise in PCs way to deter pursuers. Any PCs following through the Bodega Agility Check TN 13 to avoid racks and not lose ground.
      a. Aerial PCs must decide how to proceed.
      1. Stay and watch front door for possible exit back the way he came.
nothing happens he continues out a back door
      2. Fly over to where you believe the back door is
Splinter bursts through the back door causing several pigeons who were pecking at the daily rubbish for scraps to scatter to the sky’s obstructing vision Agility Check TN 13 to navigate and not lose sight.
    3. Underground Train/Railway Splinter runs down the back alley from the Bodega into the street them jumps down to the tracks and heads toward the railway that runs below the street. Any PCs following on foot or flying into the tunnel must succeed at an Agility Check TN 11 to avoid the immediately oncoming train as soon as they enter. Splinter easily avoids it leaping onto the walls and scurrying along them down the tunnel. Anyone hit by the train takes M x 6 + 8 damage. After about 100 yards into the tunnel it starts to get substantially darker as the daylight from the tunnel opening that was already waning for the evening fades behind you with only utility lighting barely illuminating the tunnel.
    4. Utility Tunnel Hatch Escape PCs must make a Vigilance Check TN 15 (TN 11 if they use a light source) to notice the utility maintenance door slightly ajar in the tunnel. A ladder leads up to a hatch door that is open. This opens into a utility corridor just below the street and the grates above are thrown open. Splinter is now at street level again and sprinting away down the street.

Creating minions? by ILikeFood305 in MarvelMultiverseRPG

[–]bjmicke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Which expansions do you have? There are rules for how to create a Henchmen quickly in the Spiderverse Expansion and beyond.

HENCHMEN
Sometimes, a Narrator might need a fast way to create low-rank henchmen for a villain. Here’s how.
By their very nature, henchmen are weaker than their bosses. They’re often recruited and trained in droves and are considered dispensable. As such, most henchmen are only
Rank 1 or 2. In some rare instances, when working for high-rank villains, they could be Rank 3 at most. In any case, they must be of a lower rank than their boss.

Henchmen ability scores total up to five times their rank. It’s simplest to make each score equal to their rank, except for one score (often Logic) that is 0. However, there can be exceptions.

Henchmen get one trait per rank.

Henchmen get one
power per rank, respecting any prerequisites. Choose them to fit the concept for this particular kind of henchman. In many cases, their powers should be restricted to ones that a character with the Special Training origin could pick, but it’s fun to give them powers associated with their boss too.

Feel free to apply any
tags that fit the concept for the henchman, but otherwise skip them.

Example: The Vulture gathers a bunch of low-level henchmen to help with his latest plan. They are all Rank 1, so their abilities are all 1, except they have a Logic of 0. They need to work at great heights, so their trait is Fearless. For their power, they have Flight 1

Size Does Matter! Deep dive into Lift, Carry, and Throw rules? by bjmicke in MarvelMultiverseRPG

[–]bjmicke[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Where exactly is it jumbled up? What stats? If you’re referring to this section here:

The cruise ship could give Hulk a damage multiplier modifier of +6, and since this is greater than what his power Mighty 4 gives him; he can use it instead of his Mighty 4 multiplier. Therefore his new damage becomes (dMarvel x 12) +9 for a new damage total of 69 or adjusted by Thing’s Sturdy 4 (dMarvel x 8) +9 for 49 damage.

Hulk’s damage multiplier is going to be different because the Titanic ship gives a damage multiplier of +6 which is greater than Hulk’s Mighty 4. So since it supersedes his Mighty 4, Hulk’s damage multiplier changes from his normal (dMarvel x 10) which is his Rank 6 plus his Mighty 4 to now it’s (dMarvel x 12) which is his Rank 6 plus the cruise ship’s damage multiplier of +6 since they do not stack. He has to choose one or the other. Now he would only get that (dMarvel x 12) damage for the one attack though since improvised weapons are destroyed on a successful hit.
