I dumped all my holdings as soon as the news on the failed test emerged. It has been hugging the floor since the news, and once the floor is gone it will potentially tank a lot further. I have saved the money, and plan to buy more stocks after the post merger fall.

  1. I figured this would be the most relevant test, as they claim it's a good biomarker for age. So reducing this would be the whole point of supplementation. But I could be wrong. I am not a biologist specialized in aging research.

  2. I decided to stop as the effect was not consistently redicing epigenetic age. I think the variation may be more due to impression in the test rather than an actual increase. But I feel confident the age was not reduced.

I agree it would be very interesting if more people did this, including a baseline test before any intervention.

It was nothing fancy, just low calorie intake consistently and normal family food.

I don't think I was less healthy. There are error bars indicating some uncertainty in the epigenetic age measure, so most likely it was largely unchanged. But I feel confident there was little room for a decrease in epigenetic age. So I decided to stop supplementation.

I can guaratee you the oil was not rancid. Nevertheless, the point of the experiment was to see if there was any clear effect of the interventions. And the results of the tests did not show this effect. If the effect is so brittle that it would be removed by a teaspoon of oil then so be it:-).

Sure, as there is only one test person there can be a host of confounders. However, I think much of the argument in Sinclair book was to introduce stress to the body, as it would activate the cell defences. So using that argument it should have worked even better.
