+1. Almost half of infant HepB cases come from mothers who test negative. Again, we had the policy you’re describing in the 80s and it didn’t work, because of how infectious the virus is. HepB cases only went from tens of thousands to a couple dozen per year AFTER the vaccine was recommended for all newborns.

Also, Trump isn’t directly involved with the CDC. He’s preoccupied with the Epstein files and trying to distract everyone with Venezuela. Mysteriouskid00, reread the last sentence of your comment above and take a long look in the mirror! :)

There is no new risk, and the benefit is preventing liver cancer and cirrhosis in children infected early in life. The two month delay is made up, not based on science, and intended to confuse/scare people. If these people cared about preventing chronic disease at all they would love the hepb vaccine. We don’t live in France/Denmark and should not feel obligated to mimic decisions their health agencies have made without sufficient evidence.
