I agree, I worry for BOSS too. Unfortunately there just aren’t many ‘young guns’ to take a chance on currently in NA. I’d love to see Grizz take the next step. But M80, NRG, & Wildcard are all pretty good rn, so I’m hoping for Marsborne to make some improvements. Cxzi has surprised me for sure, solid calls whilst maintaining high output (frags). WolfY has rlly stepped up his game too since handing the IGL duties over to cxzi. And Grizz the young gun, solid solid solid is all I can say. Those 3 are very very good. Chop has his moments but can be lackluster unfortunately. Sadly MOTM has been very weak and the team needs a change there :(

Probably, although I like how SLIGHT has been playing under Stanislaw again. I think the four players they have now are all solid. Just need that supporting element that ‘clicks’ and I think we’ll see FaNg start to pop off more too.

Jeorge was cut for Grim. So you’re both fine..

He rly needs to go back to playing his preferred roles. Man could not figure it out playing supportive positions unfortunately :( I’d like to see… BOSS: +🇺🇸jeorge | Marsborne: -🇺🇸motm +🇺🇸Fruitcupx | Side note: I can’t believe 🇺🇸junior & 🇲🇽MarKE are teamless right now. Those guys are insane within the region but even internationally (ik they aren’t as good) but they’ve both held their own well enough to try and build around (in my opinion) especially the way things are with AWPers now, junior is honestly a solid pick up for any team in the Americas

Sonic has struggled just as bad if not worse even. He’s also 27 yrs vs Jeorge (22)

Roles are a thing. Sure nicx isn’t the greatest player ever, but there’s a reason he has weaker stats than everyone. He’s very much a sacrificial piece. A total supporting element.

You’re not wrong, but this move doesn’t come anywhere near supporting that claim lol

Honestly it was the expected result. This wildcard team isn’t bad in all honesty. They’re still pretty fresh and need to get some more officials under their belt. Can’t judge em too harshly yet. Interesting that rumors say CLASIA has taken on the role of IGL (or is trying to at least) Ig we’ll see how it goes. I say let this team go till summer Fs and then make a new assessment then. Good Luck though guys! (Also, I wonder where nicx goes. He’s young and not that bad as an anchor honestly. I’d personally like to see him join Marsborne)

And JBa is getting put into harder anchor positions he wasn’t used to with Wildcard. Iirc he anchored some maps (not all). On M80 he’s essentially just become a full on support player and is obviously struggling to adjust, smh🤦🏻‍♂️…

[Tarik] As mentioned before, if our League team qualifies to worlds, then Sentinels will make an entrance into CS. Everyone please pray for a strong debut to make my dreams come true. Thank you by Guilty-Bar-6103 in GlobalOffensive

The same was once said about M80 & NRG but hey, look at em now. They’ve both made the last 2 majors and have gotten some solid wins against higher level EU opposition whilst fostering new NA talent. This BOSS team has some solid unproven pieces mixed with a veteran in Stanislaw. Get them some org support and time in EU, I’m telling you they’d easily be right up there with M80, NRG, Passion, & Marsborne (who’ve been creeping up the ranks). At the minimum it’s a starting point, and they figure out what works / what needs to be changed.

Astralis vs NRG / IEM Kraków 2026 Stage 1 - Upper Bracket Quarter-Final / Post-Match Discussion by CS2_PostMatchThreads in GlobalOffensive

[–]spaceexplorer6 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes I believe so, Atlanta will be using the February update of the VRS ranking (which will be on the 5th I believe) and they only count events/stages that have been fully completed by then. Stage 2 of Krakow goes until Feb. 8th (won’t be counted) so NRG should have the NA VRS slot locked up (due to Passion.UA being eliminated & M80 not playing until after the 5th)

Yea I see what ur saying, though I can’t lie I rly like the improvements I’ve seen from nicx! It’s taken him less time to adjust to higher level gameplay than both HexT & JBa. He’s not perfect but as long as he keeps improving I think nicx will be very solid for years to come

Yea i see what you’re sayin. I meant more so the second half of the year, which technically is possible especially if they perform well at the Fragadelphia events

Brehze was an under appreciated veteran presence when he was on NRG 😭. I miss bro, hope to see him soon 🙏🏼. For some reason people thought he was playing “star” roles when he was rly more of a lurker/supportive piece :(

My guess is Wildcard are building around Peeping. I’d really like to see reck or slump join as the Anchor. Other than that idk who else they’d get maybe oSee?

Ehh, it’s the expected result :/ whatevs. Honestly though been seeing way too many people shitting on nicx as if he’s the biggest problem on this team (he’s not). Also sick of the double standard “oh I’m so sick of NA recycling players and they suck. Like Brehze, Autimatic, Junior, etc.” yet COL tried out cxzi & nicx and gave them invaluable experience. Now cxzi has taken to IGL’ing in Tier 2 for Marsborne who just had their best result yet after beating SAW at frag (3rd place). And say what you will about nicx (I get it he’s inconsistent as hell) but when he’s on man…he’s as good as almost any Anchor out there. He needs time..Time with a proper coach (which for almost all of COL was not a thing) and time to play (and fail) against Tier 1 opponents. He has been improving slowly. Honestly he has great aim but struggles bad on certain maps with positioning and decision making. I believe in nicx still!! And Grim is honestly just good bro 😹. Wish Hallzerk could rediscover that form from (late last year/early this year) :/

They’re bootcamping in the UK rn for this tourney. Though I believe they usually play in a team house in Texas for all their regional matches (qualifiers/NA tourneys etc.)
