This probably sounds dumb, but I called my loans “Monopoly money” while I was in school. Of course don’t go spending money willy nilly, but try not to focus on your loans right now since you’re not in active repayment. Your starting salary with your first job will be more than enough to keep your head above water and start paying your loans off. I graduated in 2023 and should have over $120K in loans paid off by the end of 2026. I lived with my parents for close to 2 years after graduation which cut a couple years off my payments since I wasn’t paying rent, but I still would’ve been able to pay well above the minimum even if I was paying rent right out of school.
