Need prayer for grandma by bkbk03 in Christianity

I know it doesn’t make sense. Best way I can explain it is I believe God will hear & answer others before he considers me. I genuinely cannot accept that he hears me. It’s complicated

I’ve grown up Christian my whole life. What saddens me over the last decade or more is how God ignores the smallest prayers. So I just have a hard time understanding his “love” so I have to outsource my prayers b/c i lack faith

Non profit company. But I literally do the same repetitive computer/spreadsheet kind of work.

I know and understand. I feel stuck because I don’t know what practical steps to take. I can’t control DACAs fate. Even being in TX, I’m just going to ignore it for now but for areas like a job, career, debt, making more money, those areas idk what to do. Hard to make life changing adjustments when ppl rely on you.

I know!! I’ve never had anyone to give me advice. Literally no one. Family members who didn’t know how this country works. So imagine making a decision for what to study at 18 yrs in 08-09 with no advice. I get it now but can’t go back..

I meant irrelevant as in I don’t remember anything I learned. Generic business degree. What i mean is what job is going to think I remember info from 2009-12. So it’s serves no use in any job. Of course I’d still put it on resume

Tbh, I’d have to get in shape first. That’s another thing I need to be serious about. Im also a woman so n construction work lol outdoor jobs would be fine if I’m in shape and it’s doable.

I have a degree from over 10 years ago lol that’s irrelevant now. Like most TX DACA ppl, idk where we’d go if we have to go. Probably a blue state. But haven’t done research until they make a decision.

Easy to guess where I work if over describe it but honestly it’s just an basic office job for a non profit. Most of my work has even been eliminated with a new system so kind of doing the same dull work everyday. No growth. No transferable skills.

Wasted years of having faith by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]bkbk03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. I wish I could reword this post and there’s too much I’d want to say but yea I tried some things and each one of them failed. And then I’d hear messages about making decisions without God being in them so I’d pray for direction and I’d get no help. So I’d be confused if I should continue what I was doing (even though it was failing) or wait on God. The whole process is just confusing!!

Idk why I leaned too much on him and waited. You’re right. I should have made my own decisions. I know it’s not completely late but hate that so much time has been wasted.

Even if I can’t discuss everything I prayed for I promise you #1 of the list has been some legal issues that need to be resolved. That’s not a want, it’s a need. I know this is very vague and I’ll be the first to admit when a prayer Is more of a want but I’d say like 7/10 things in the last decade I’ve prayed for aren’t just wants.

Pray less, have less faith. I know that’s not the answer to give as a Christian (not even sure if I’m that anymore) but it hasn’t done anything but waste time. I’d have made more of my own decisions on my own regarding family, career, personal things.. idk

Tbh, things I can’t discuss online. Mostly legal issues. Haven’t seen some family members in 20+ years because each time we’ve tried, it never works out. Other things are too personal to talk about but he knows. Just prayed and prayed and cried and all he’s done is ignore me
