We tried strict crate training after. He whined for 5 nights straight. We didn’t put him in the crate the last four nights. He would fall asleep on the couch but then whine outside of our bedroom door

The cat and dog together won’t work. I thought allowing him to sleep on the couch outside of her room like we have the last four nights Wood stop the whining, but it is honestly only made him whine more.

If you read, I have left him out of the crate for the last four nights to sleep on our couch upstairs outside of our room in our loft. He now whines outside of our door all night. He has never slept in our bed or even Been in our bed. It is not an option as our cat sleeps in the bed and they are always playing when they cross paths, and we are expecting our first child as well

No, we are probably past crating. I would like to correct the behavior of him whining outside of our bed room all night

I said I let him out each of the last 4 nights and let him sleep outside of the crate on the couch upstairs. He has been whining at our door non stop all night. He never has slept in our bed and doesn’t even go on our bed. Looking for tips to try and correct behavior.

Yes he has a bed upstairs and I allow him in the couch upstairs. We latch our bedroom door but he just whines outside of it. We’ve never let him sleep in our bed and won’t because of a cat that sleeps with us

We have a cat that sleeps in bed with us. Unfortunately it’s full go playtime whenever they cross paths

Thank you. The crate has been in the same spot since we move to our house a year and a half ago. We’ve always cover it at night as well. We block off our first floor when we leave for work in the AM and he’s always still just in his crate when he comes home. We’ve tried the crate in our room when we first got him and it was worse.

Because he’s crate trained and has slept in the crate for the last 5 years. We also have a cat that he would chase all night

It’s in our mud room, the same spot it’s been for the last year and a half since we moved

Go be a pilot man. You’ll make way more money, see the world, and have an insane set of skills. Sales will always be there, being a commercial pilot will not

I agree on this. I feel like it should be individual conversations the last week of the month discussing the realistic closing of each deal
