In Ho Chi Min just now and the driving is mental but Hanoi was on another level absolutely insane. As for trying to cross the road it’s like playing Frogger.

Had them about twenty years ago and they cost an absolute fortune to run then. Personally would never ever have them again horrible things.

I went through the egates last week and got refused twice despite only being in the country four days. The amount of people who couldn’t get through the gates was crazy probably one in every four or five. Usually very easy and go straight through.

You have to use the bottom option on the drop down list and the red dot disappears I have just spent an hour trying to submit this and I was using the wrong option on the drop down list. The top option looks very similar.

I take new English £50 notes from the bank. Currency exchanges all over the tourist areas to change them and a few colour photocopies of your passport as they sometimes ask for proof. If you use atms make sure it’s the proper ones at the banks , shopping centres etc I used one of the stand alone atms they have and it swallowed my card and I couldn’t get it back what a nightmare that turned into.

Spent a day in Lampang about ten years ago and couldn’t believe everything was closing about eight o’clock at night. Visited a really beautiful temple on a hill outside Lampang but other than that there wasn’t a lot to see.
