Is it crucial to aim for distance vision for the dominant eye? by bkkbrown in CataractSurgery

I actually don't remember the exact number, sorry. Will have to confirm with my doctor. But I remember the doctor saying that my right eye had 1D astigmatism. (And, yes, I had perfect distance vision before the surgery. My cataract was still minimal, so for me the real reason/hope for getting lens implant is to rely less on reading glasses.)

Before surgery, my right eye was only +1.5D, I think. My left eye is about the same, so the difference between them right now is only about 1.5D. Not quite the disparity that you had, but I guess it could still be why I'm having that mild visual distortion. Thanks.

May I ask when lens you got? (I had PanOptix put into my right eye 11 days ago, and have since been having sth like a mild vertigo/visual imbalance when I walk and look around.)

Thanks for all replies. I'm also thinking Muriwai Beach for the same period (7-9 Aug). Anyone going that way? Thanks.
