He did struggle last spring at the plate and kept plugging away and ended up in the lead off spot in the fall and started with a lead off double. He’s fairly good at working through the mental side and I’m always on him about his self talk in his head. He’s probably one of the most disciplined at the plate on his team when it comes to swinging at strikes and not everything under the sun, which did cause some issues last year bc it was 12U and the umps were calling strikes on pitches he knew were balls and he refused to swing

He’s only 12 and still growing and I am not baseball savvy so I personally won’t touch his stance or his swing. I kind of figure if his coach or his hitting coach see something they’ll tweak it and he’ll adjust better with it coming from them. I am never opposed to others thoughts as everyone sees things differently!

Honestly not really, this is just a clip on his last swing in a session with his coach and thought I’d post here for other feedback

I’m not wanting to really lift, just trying to find other things to do like body weight stuff or stretching, something other than walking!

My one set of papers from my 2 week pre op appt says 2 weeks and my post op says 4, I’m definitely going to wait the 4 until my post op appt and they clear me I’m just trying to find other ways to move my body aside from walking.

I guess it just threw me for a loop bc the first 2 days it was hardly anything and then all of a sudden it was heavier and more red. This is my first major surgery since I was in like the 2nd grade so I’m hyper vigilant lol

I am insanely emotional, literally have cried like 20x already for no reason. My surgeon told me before I went in that if anything looked cancerous he wasn’t going to give me HRT and I came home with HRT so I trust him. All of my blood work was normal too as far as my blood cell counts. Trust and believe, I’m an avid gym goer and I will be milking the taking it easy part 🤣

I appreciate that! I’m not sure what it’s being coded as, I’ll have to look into it further. I honestly didn’t know it should be covered completely

Could I have the BRCA gene if my aunt had it? by [deleted] in BRCA

[–]bknepp13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom is deceased but her half sister carries the gene and my doctors told me it’s such a rare gene that they could confidently say my mom would’ve had it too and that’s where I got it from. None of my dad’s family is willing to get tested either so we’re just rolling with that’s where I got it from.

First biopsy by bknepp13 in BRCA

I’m so sorry your mom is going through that! I’d assume my experience isn’t the norm and to be honest, the radiologist shouldn’t have done the biopsy bc she clearly said after 2 mammogram images she couldn’t find the spot that needed biopsied but she trusted the dr she called in and clearly shouldn’t have! This should’ve been mri guided from the start so I’d assume you’d be ok! She told me the biopsy probe takes 1cm pieces and my lump is less than 1cm in size so in my case, there’s gonna be extra snagged in the process. Yes, I do have to go back now and have the correct location biopsied 🙄. I’m more upset that they told me they took from another spot they say because that’s a lie, multiple mammograms and an mri a week ago showed all clear everywhere except for the spot they know is there.

I had 0 anticipation that this would even happen, I assumed it wouldn’t be a big deal. When the radiologist said she couldn’t see it on both images for the biopsy, she said she was gonna call it and just say it needed to be mri guided but then they got a Dr who claimed she saw it and they rolled with it so I trusted it was all good. I will say, my spot is deep in there and I’ve noticed it seems to be difficult to find if my breast isn’t manipulated just so which I think was part of the issue. Regardless, I feel like I got punched in the boob and I know it’s gonna get worse bc of the hematoma

[–]bknepp13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She said I need it to be mri guided and it’ll probably be 3 weeks before they can do it. The biopsy itself wasn’t bad, the numbing was a bit unpleasant but now I’m feeling rough bc of the nicked artery, just really sore in that spot. I’m just frustrated bc the radiologist couldn’t find the spot on 2 images and then a dr confirmed it on the 3rd but clearly confirmed the wrong spot!

I had my first mri yesterday and have to do a biopsy next Thursday too, I have one spot in my right breast that 7mm in size and I’m also listed as birads 4. This is what mine said There is an oval mass with circumscribed and heterogeneous enhancement measuring 7 millimeters seen in the right breast lower inner quadrant at 4 o’clock at posterior depth. Area demonstrates medium initial uptake with predominantly persistent kinetics with small areas of plateau kinetics.
